I really don't care what happens anymore. We should be fine for the playoffs, but we're not going to do anything so what's the point?

Gotta disagree.

To be perfectly honest, on paper we probably should lose to (at least) the teams that finish 3rd/4th should/when we meet them in the playoffs - but over two games and a final any of the 4 are in it, and can win it.

If we make it, we'll be distant 4th favourites with the bookies.

Gotta believe.

We are now relying on Chris Hughton & Fulham to get automatic promotion. This is disgusting.

Just to make you feel even sicker, we can probably include Roeder in this now he's joined Wednesday in some capacity...

I prefer to pretend that he doesn't exist.

I'm fairly relaxed about the weekends games, but my interest will climb rapidly if Watford slip up in the lunchtime kick-off on Saturday...

Potentially yes all the pressure could be on us. More often we've been the club putting the pressure on others so it'll be interesting/terrifying to see how we go. That draw on Saturday causes so many headaches.

I've been thinking about it and I've decided the only way the finale to this season can live up to the season itself is if one of the following happens:
Watford win & lose, Bournemouth and Middlesbrough win & draw, Norwich win both
OR Watford draw & lose, Bournemouth and Middlesbrough draw both, Norwich win & draw
OR Watford lose both, Bournemouth and Middlesbrough draw & lose, Norwich win & lose

For those that aren't bothered.

Do you not want to win your remaining games to aim for a second leg home tie?

The gaps too big between 4th and 5th, so that's already been determined.

Yeah just looked, didn't realise that. Fair enough.

I'd rather have a second leg away tbh but that looks incredibly unlikely. Our home record is arguably the reason we're not going up automatically.

Away: 1st Norwich P22 W13 D4 L5 43pts
Home: 7th Norwich P22 W11 D6 L5 39pts

Only one win and draw in it to be fair but I see what you mean.

I just really hope we get Derby instead of Ipswich.

Dunno about that. No guarantees that we wouldn't meet them in the final if we got Derby. Think I'd rather play them over two legs than in a one-off game in which Mick could likely fire them up enough to fluke a win...

I'm relying on Bournemouth/Boro/Watford beating them. Although I definitely wouldn't want Boro in the final.

Whatever small hope we had of making the playoffs has taken a turn for the worst. Danny Batth is out for 3 months, and looks like Carl Ikeme and Bakary Sako will also miss the last 2 games.

Rotherham's points deduction could make it tough on the Canaries, as they've proved capable of getting good results against the top teams, beating Ipswich, Wolves and nearly Derby at home, and drawing at Bournemouth and Norwich.

 :dk:
The gulf in quality between us isn't big enough for fluke to be the right terminology. I'd struggle to sit through and watch us play you in the playoffs but that isn't because I doubt our ability to beat you on any given day - one leg or two.

I think everyone expects us to be the easy option. Current Derby very much is, but we'll have Thorne, Buxton, and Martin back for the playoffs which although still missing a few would make us a different kettle of fish.

Still doesn't make up for having McClaren as your manager, though. Think that's a bigger factor considering recent weeks events than who you may/may not have in your team.

Time will tell.

I'm still going to be negative throughout though whatever the circumstances. You all know this.

I was positive for last seasons playoffs, and look where that got me. BOBBY FUCKING ZAMORA.

It's less that and more losing to Ipswich in the play-offs would be the most horrific thing to ever have happened in the history of football. I can see them all tentatively peering out of the 70s now, praying that 2015 is the year it's finally safe to come out of hiding. :shut:

A Hughton team will never come from behind to win. That's fantastical thinking.

Hughton teams don't equalise away from home, let alone win. When a Hughton team concedes, it's game over. I speak from experience.

There's a first time for everything!

Brighton are at home though.
