  I remember Alex Revell making Aden Flint look like a little boy only the season before last.

That's relevant cos Revell is fucking wank aswell.

That's Flint of two seasons ago. You'll see a difference next season!

That happened only twice last year against Wolves and Bournemouth where we conceded a load, why the fuck would Bristol with a front two of Agard and Wilbraham think they'd do the same?

In addition are you really saying the team we finished with last season (only fair thing to go off).

Emi Martinez
Daniel Lafferty
Kirk Broadfoot
Craig Morgan
Jack Hunt
Ben Pringle
Richie Smallwood
Kari Arnason
Jordan Bowery
Danny Ward
Matt Derbyshire

Are you seriously saying that team would get battered by a side that included Aaron Wilbraham and fucking Aden Flint?  fuck off.

That's really weird, because only five of those players are still at Rotherham and that includes Derbyshire, who's shit.

Did you miss mew here I said it's only fair to base it on the teams we finished with?

Goal ratio of -1 in 2 after Christmas tells a different story about Derbyshire.

Didn't Aden Flint the defender who you slag off score more than Derbyshire last season? Infact 5 goals more? Again I repeat, the DEFENDER who scored 5 more goals than your star striker?

That's like Blackpool fans saying they could stay up last summer using their squad that survived the season before.

What planet are we living on here? Bristol I've just come up and have a top of championship side?

Don't think there's any player of note i'd have from you in our team and we were fucking wank last year put it that way.
Where the fuck did I say that?

Read my post back. I said that we're a FEW ADDITIONS away from a top Championship side, and by top side I don't mean one that's going to steamroll the Championship, I'm on about one that can trouble the top half and possibly push for the PO's.

I don't get the constant digging at City fans and our squad, and for the record Ben Pringle is probably the only player I'd have from that list of players, but you said you'd rather your squad than ours so let's keep each to their own, and see how they fare next season.

And for the Striker argument, the key to our success last season was goals coming from all over the pitch. Flint scored 15, Freeman got 6 or 7, Bryan got 6 or 7, Ayling got a few, Williams got a few, we had many goal scorers. Also - we of course had JET, who contributed with a dozen. Regard Wilbraham and Agard, I appreciate Wilbraham isn't getting any younger, and the jury is still out on Agard, but I wouldn't swap either of them for Matt fucking Derbyshire.

Oh untwist yer knickers yer gret tart!

Mature reply that. Ill ask again. What absurdities? Quote me a post where one of our fans have massively bigged up our squad or suggested we are going to steamroller the league next year? If you cant, then give the shitstirring comments a rest.

As for that Rotherham fan, it will be interesting to see whos team fares better next year after those comments of yours. Id speculate that as a team who finished with a points total that would usually lead to relegation, you have a lot of work to do but we'll see. Im sure this thread will be bumped if we finish above you. ;)

I would be very surprised if Flint scored that many again next season. Didn't see him last year, but in a team that dominates the league, you get a lot more set pieces to attack from. Equally, defences at this level will be better at defending from them, so I would guess he might get 5 or so goals next season.

A good player no doubt - but he won't be as good in the Championship as he is for League 1. For one thing, he is quite a slow CB, and Championship strikeforces are a lot pacier than those in L1.

I don't need to be mature, it was a joke, calm down princess, the fans that reckon you'll finish above us are absurd, and if you think the comments were "shitstirring" i'd take myself away from the forum, if that "upsets" you then the internet isn't really the best place for you to be.

You Bristol fans get very defensive if we dare to comment on you not being that good really, chill out a bit.

Fuck me! It's as if we've been promoted to La Liga!

We were in this division 2 seasons ago, we know it's a tough league.

Personally I've never said we'd finish above Wednesday, but it wouldn't totally shock me if it happened to be honest, but you can't say or even predict with the Transfer Window being so young.

As for other fans opinions, I can't say 'I don't give a fuck' because otherwise I'd just be posting on OTIB, not on a mixed fans forum, but I'm happy to debate and discuss our club with any other fans, and won't be too butthurt if someone has a bad opinion on us to be honest.

Now let me see. I'm bored of work today. Where shall I go fishing this afternoon?

The deep but endlessly rewarding deep fish-filled Evans Gate? Always guaranteed to find half-man, half-c*** there.
The emergent River of Gas?
Franchise fishing maybe?
Or maybe I'll just go fishing, Wednesday?

And why did the total sense of humour failures at Wigan go and get relegated? Even non-league clubs call them tinpot.

Indeed. As interesting as noting that last season, Orient were 9-1 joint-favourites to be promoted from L1, and in August, you could get 25-1 on Bournemouth and 16-1 on Watford going up, compared to 10-1 for Wigan and 11-1 for Fulham.

So we are using "interesting" in the sense of "totally meaningless" here.

fwiw (and that's never a fucking lot, as SERNWA is keen to point out), I believe that Bristol City fans underestimate Rotherham and other smaller, lower clubs like Cardiff and Brighton at their peril. (Yeh..that's fucked with your heads.......do I slag him off for dissing us, or Like him for dissing those inbreds across the river???...aaarrrghhh!). This is because there is remarkably little between most clubs in this division. Yes, Blackpool were woeful but apart from Bournemouth, Norwich and Derby (earlier in the season) there was little to choose between the entire division - and that includes Watford, Boro and Ipswich. The Millers deservedly beat us early on and in the last weeks, Derby just bent over and presented their bottom to anyone who would have it. So to speak. On the day, anyone can win against anyone in this division: it's about stamina and that takes a little getting used to.

I'll weigh in more only when the little cheerleader sings or when the seasons starts with everyone fielding their new signings and the usual collection of unknown Chelsea, Spurs and Southampton loaners. Or when I feel it will piss someone off.

Calling Aden Flint who bagged 15 league goals when you have Matt Derbyshire up top makes me giggle.

I think Aden Flint and our very own Paul Huntington could both suffer the same problems Danny Batth did (as mentioned earlier in the thread)

Both monsters in the air but neither have pace and I think they could get caught a bit flat-footed next season, hoping Huntington's reading of the game means he can make the step up but i'm not entirely confident, certainly less so than Clarke and Wright anyway who have a bit more to their game.

Either way, he deserves the chance and his new contract, he's had a class season.
