Barnsley are finished which im highly glad about as they let me down for £714 the bastards. Good result for us 2 bradford losing. A win tommorrow and il start feeling confident of top 6

2 more wins should be enough. However whats required is a very good run and swindon to keep losing. That should hopefully see us with a very good chance of beating them.

I think its done and dusted for us that were getting in the playoffs even we cant fuck this up now. And given rochdales run in i cant see chesterfield throwing 6th spot away either, which il admit fair play to em if they get it after selling there main player in january. A blades v chesterfield playoff final would be perfectly fine by me.

It's never 'done and dusted' where Chesterfield FC are concerned. If we win on Tuesday it starts to look very good indeed for us, if we can then avoid defeat at Oldham then it will likely be fairly secure. With you and Bristol City to play we need to wrap it up early.

After yesterday's shambles I think we're out of the running now.

This will come back to haunt me.. But bar amazing form or great fuck ups - I think 6th is between us and Rochdale.

Win on Tuesday and we could be 7 clear of Dale, with them only having 4 games to make it up.

We are 100% out of it now being 7 points behind with only 12 to play for, but we've still got a say in who's going to make with Bradford and Rochdale our last two games of the season. Obviously it could be decided by then if Chesterfield keep up their good form.

Whether we finish 6th or 7th, it will have been a great season for us and Dale. Can't see either of us doing owt in the playoffs so i see it as winners of the 'best of the rest' league.

Playoffs are anyones for the taking. Youve beat mk dons on numerous occasions you were far better than us at your place. Anyone can win them forms irrelevant and so are league positions

Tell non-league Nigel that, he didn't think so.

The cods would get embarrassingly battered in the playoffs. Although the money and exposure would be good

He's a bellend. Just ignore anything that comes out of his mouth. He also thinks drawing with crawley and scunny are good points and thinks were in a good position that we would of took at the start of the season.

Same applies why would you? Its a lottery plus youve also been a better team than us over our 2 games

I lost what respect I had for Clough after that match.

Fleetwood wouldn't get battered by anyone - solid side generally. Wasn't the 3-0 v us their biggest defeat? (they were shit that day though)

Yeah Fleetwood were pretty good defensively when we beat them 2-1.

On a side note, we haven't lost by more than 3 goals since 2009 in all competitions. Some record I think.

Whilst we've lost 3 out of four ties in the playoffs, our opponents have all suffered hideous fates since:
Rushden & Diamonds - defunct, deceased, ain't no more. Pining for the fjiords and not expecting a Spanish Inquisition.
Darlington - currently in level 17 after reforming, but being outspent by Spennymoor, one of whose fans presumably won 1st prize in the "glamour" category of The Weekly News photo competition and has donated their winnings in an attempt to do a "Fleetwood".
Stockport, who have sauntered shell-shocked down the leagues, and are consulting maps with regards to the presence of Lowestoft in Conference North.
Gillingham. Now Chairman Scally is a subtleman who knows how to read the oracles (and no doudoubt the ceefaxes also). The sacrifice of a much-loved tortoise in the deserts of Dubai is obviously an attempt to assuage the wrath of the "played Dale in the playoffs" gods.

So - MK, Swindon, Blades, Chesterfield - beware! :giphy:

Sure people will be happy if it happens to MK. Not a clue how franchise teams work though.

Posh look out of it. Season ends at the end of April if I'm correct?
