Burton, Brum, Forest, Citeh to stay up pls

Nothing personal against Blackburn, I just live in Birmingham so the above are easier to get to plus Burton/Forest are two of my favourite away days.

Predictions for the final day then?

We've got the 'luxury' of going into the game with our destiny in our own hands, could work against us though if we think we're safe late on and we're playing for the draw. I want to see us go all out straight from the off in the knowledge that if we win our game of football then we're safe regardless, unlikely Harry will take that approach though, can see the game ending in a draw which, with our goal difference, is no difference to a loss really. Bristol C 1-1 Blues

I think Forest will win in front of their own fans against a side with absolutely nothing to play for. Forest 2-1 Ipswich

Tough ask for Blackburn going to one of the best home sides in the league, the fact they've got a few injuries and nothing to play for will give Blackburn hope, ultimately I think Brentford will nick it though in a high scoring topsy turvy affair. Brentford 3-2 Blackburn

Final table

Forest 51pts -12GD
Blues 51pts -20GD
Blackburn 48pts -15GD
Wigan
Rotherham

Good luck to all involved, gonna but another arse twitchy day constantly checking phones/radio no doubt the fake rumours will go round the away end like they always do, simply cannot be as bad as Bolton a few years back, I quite literally almost had heart failure at that game. Looking forward to the day anyway, always better to be at the game rather than in a pub watching it all on the TV.

You've got to go for the win, surely? Like you say a draw is literally no different to a defeat in your position, either way if Forest and Blackburn win you're gone, if not you're safe. Think Redknapp himself said that in his interview

I reckon you'll be fine regardless, got a funny feeling Forest are going to muck it up.
City 1-1 Birmingham
Forest 0-1 Ipswich
Brentford 1-2 Blackburn

I just can't see Blackburn winning at Brentford, the Bees are a fine side, particularly at home.
City 3 Blues 1
Forest 1 Ipswich 1
Brentford 2 Blackburn 1
Sorry Blackburn fans, I think you're heading for the pub league.

I think we'll draw at Forest, but that'll be enough for them because it's hard to see Blackburn winning.

Honestly can't see Blackburn getting anything at Brentford unless Brentford really can't be arsed with nothing to play for. They bloody murdered us a couple of weeks ago.

Having said that, football's a strange game, and nothing would surprise me, so maybe a last minute shock that sees Forest or Brum go down.

Blackburn have a chance. I would never have thought Hartlepool would beat Doncaster, but they did. When the stakes are high, teams dig deeper. On paper this is a home banker, but - if some of Rovers big players turn up and perform, they could
Just do it.

Amazing to think 4 of those 6 teams will have gone down to at least League 1, after today's games, and it's not like it was that long ago. That's football for you.

Apologies Blackburn, we played like we knew we were safe, really poor by our lot.
Good luck getting back up.

Mick McCarthy Out.

They finished 16th, worst finish since 1959 (or if we're being charitable, since they finished 15th out of 22 teams in 1965/66) and face a 16th consecutive season in the second tier.

Just been wondering, are they such a big club even for the Championship? They achieved their biggest successes thanks to being blessed with two of the best English managers but apart from that they've been pretty mediocre, a brief stint of glory during the turn of the millennium aside (under George Burley, a Robson protégé). I like Ipswich and want to see them re-establish themselves in the top flight but they seem stuck in a right rut without the resources to pull themselves out of it. Still, if Southampton, Stoke never mind Swansea can do it why can't they?

Who the fuck is laughing now?
Still us... One goal from relegation, only survived because Bristol City were on holiday. Behave yourself.

We are quite happy thanks El G and were laughing last week, hence our pathetic effort today. I thought it was a bit much that we came out in bermuda shorts carrying buckets and spades TBH. ;)
Well done though to you and Tilton Trev.
Any idea how much you paid that wanker Mason? What a see you next Tuesday he was.
Enjoy!
