I'm going to laugh when we're relegated come May and I was proven right all along.

We'll be like Wolves though where people keep on refusing to accept we're not good enough, because we "shouldn't go down with that team". This club is rotten.
Why is it rotten? You have been a top 6 club for the last 3 seasons, With some good players.

I want it to happen just so that Burton are in a higher league than Derby. That'd be fucking great.

Would it be any different to Bournemouth or Swansea currently proving that history/club size actually mattering in football is a myth.

The frustrating thing is we're not far away from being a good side in this division and winning games regularly but we're just on the wrong of fine margins week in week out. A slight tweak in tactics could be all that it needs, but Caldwell seems stubborn and refusing to do so. So many good balls into the area, crying out for a tap in and no one there.

Yesterday we completely outplayed Brighton for 70 minutes and should have been out of sight, they score a long range goal out of nothing and win the match. Had we converted one on ones and open goals from a few yards out we'd have won the last 3 games and be on 18 points but we've drawn two and lost one instead.

We've had more shots and possession on the majority of games this season but just aren't converting chances. Confidence is low amongst all the players, taking extra touches than needed, looking to pass rather than shoot to give someone else the responsibility. Bottling easy chances. We look strong defensively and teams are stuggling to create any meaningful chances against us but if you don't score then it doesn't matter.

All losses have been by a 1 goal margin and apart from the deserved defeats to Bristol City and Sheff Wed, the others we've been 'very unlucky' to lose as everyone has said but I'm sick of hearing that. So many teams above us are grinding out wins when under the cosh, so what's the point in dominating and failing to win?

Sacrificing a DM for an AM and I think that could be the change that sees us put a few wins together and climb into midtable. Performance wise we're in a false position, playing a lot better than a number of midtable sides, but sadly it's a results business and they have simply not been good enough and why we're where we are.

Why is Gomez not playing? On his day one of the best CMs in the league, 2013/14 he was the Championships best CM. Caldwell must start him.
I don't think we have one of the three worst squads in the league, I'm convinced a better manager would get a better return from this group of players. It's painful watching Will Grigg as a lone striker running his nuts off completely alone chasing lost causes because our midfield gives him zero support or service. I bet he cannot wait until January. Jordi Gomez our most creative player on the bench whilst Max Power plays and contributes nothing week in week out. We smashed Blackburn without breaking a sweat back in August and now they are ahead of us! It's an absolute joke and falls back to the manager. You don't win points for losing games by single goal margins. Time for him and his backroom staff to go, the likes of Graeme Barrow have been robbing a living for seasons now.

The crowd turned yesterday, whole ground booed when Grigg got subbed off. Rumours of a fallout between Grigg and Caldwell behind the scenes. It's only a matter of time now. Anything less than four points against Cardiff and Reading should get rid of him.

You can't keep sacking managers and expect to progress. You looked unlucky yesterday from the highlights. Stuck with him. Back him. Football is getting crazy. Lose a couple of games and people call for
The managers head. Nuts.
I wish we had a manager like yours. Someone experienced in this league who sticks to what the players know best. Cares about the actual result more than possession stats.

If it does happen there would be plenty of others laughing too. Not sure that helps though.

Amen to that! Could Forest be dragged in? Starting to seriously annoy me that we gifted them three points on a silver platter back in August.

I suspect we will too. Mick has said he won't resign and I doubt Evans will sack him as that means spending money

I'd have been absolutely fascinated to have seen what Clough would've done if you'd have come after him but I gather you're sorted with Warren Joyce. I'm half expecting Montanier to get the bullet in the near future so there may be temptation from Forest but I'm not so sure if he'd go there or even if he'd be a satisfactory appointment for their supporters.

The reason I mention it is because there's a small but growing number of flat earthers within our support who would seemingly drive Clough to another job themselves. I'm fairly sure he knows it as well.

I firmly believe Nigel Clough gives you the best chance possible of staying in this league. His managerial style suits this division, he grinds out results which is what a squad of your size and quality needs to do to stay up. Fair play to him!

Golden opportunity to move up about 5 places blown today thanks to five minutes of madness. Feel bad for Warren Joyce, he'll get laughed at when the reality is the players well and truly let him down. He's only had two training sessions with them and probably didn't pick the team without heavy influence from our abysmal backroom staff who needed to be sacked with Caldwell. Thankfully I get the feeling from his post match interview that this bloke doesn't take much crap so I expect changes after two weeks of training.

Blimey. I'm quite pleased no-one has put us in this in the past few weeks. Bravo fellow fans.

25 goal attempts v Reading says we aren't far away Tommy. It's a worrying slide though.
I think, with January coming, we'll be fine but we are desperately missing Kodjia wether we like to admit it or not. We HAVE to find another striker in January, we just have to. A few rumours have started but we just have to trust Lee and the recruitment staff to find the right man, be it on loan or on a permanent deal.

I was saving it for when Ipswich beat us next Saturday....

But in all seriousness, we won't be in any trouble this season whatsoever. Still think we'll finish 10-12th, let's see what happens in January though and if we can stay in touch with the top six until then.

Why can Lee Johnson only manage teams for less than half a season? he was bollocks for the first half of last season with Barnsley and he seemed to do the same at Oldham.

Can only assume he's quite one-dimensional and once managers have figured his style out, he has no plan b. Just speculating like.

It's not really anything to do with his tactical decisions, we've just been shite infront of goal recently, whereas earlier in the season every chance was falling to Tammy and it was hitting the back of the net.

We didn't get going properly earlier in the season, we're still yet to get going, I just hope it comes sooner rather than later otherwise it could be quite a dull season.

I just noticed that only 7 points separate 23rd from 10th! Its very tight and literally anybody could be dragged into it if the teams near the bottom keep picking up points as they have been.... Including us if we dont start converting our chances. In the end, I think Burton will drop with Rotherham. They are a tidy side but imho a 46 game slog in such a competitive league will be too much for them with their small setup. For the 3rd spot, I think theres a shock relegation on the cards.. Wolves, Ipswich, QPR, Brentford, Forest all look vunerable along with the teams youd expect to be down there, Blackburn, Barnsley, Wigan etc.

Very tough December coming up for us playing Villa, Newcastle and Derby x2. If we can come out of 2016 not cut adrift from 21st then I'll be happy.

Think we avoided joining this with our win today, but there are a lot of worrying signs about our squad / tactics at the moment.
