I can't put my finger on it but something about that Gold and Sullivan irritates me, and that's putting aside that odious Brady's involvement. I'd love to see West Ham go down. Would be funny to see that stadium a third full next season if it happened.

Must say I'm very surprised at Hull's home resilience. Beating West Ham and Boro back-to-back are brilliant results! Hull are out of the bottom 3 for the 1st time since mid-October. Bit shit that they have Spurs at home on the last day.
For the first time in a while, reckon they can get out of it. Just can't see either Palace (Big Sam factor) or West Ham (actually why not) going down. Burnley could still get sunk in it though.

Has anyone been appointed as new Boro manager?

No one yet. Steve Agnew is still the interim manager.

And yes, it's surprising how Hull City managed to win at their recent games. Totally thought they're gonna be relegated soon.

Little 4 team mini league over the next 2 weeks which could prove decisive:

Stoke v. Hull
Watford v. Swansea

Hull v. Watford
Swansea v. Stoke

It was a strange atmosphere at the Stadium of Light on Saturday. I went to Villa Park & St. James' Park last year where the feeling was of anger towards the manager and players, at Sunderland they didn't even think it was worth them getting angry about, just acceptance and a feeling that someone needed to put them out of their misery.

It's probably for their best, they need a huge clearout of personnel; they might take a while to come back up if the rumours about their finances are true, but a huge revamp of their squad will do them the world of good.

Do you think you'll change manager again? Mazzarri has probably got you to roughly where you'd expect? There's so little between every team outside the top 7 realistically any of us could struggle next year

Maybe but we have really slipped down the league and not scored an away goal since January.

The football has been very stale and lots of unrest in the dressing room has been reported.

Feel something does need to change.

Palace could be dragged in yet. Didn't realise they had Hull left to play

Nah, that'd require Hull taking 6 points and Swansea 4 with Palace getting 0 such is the goal difference. Ain't happening.

Palace playing Hull means I wouldn't rule it out. Something like:
Palace 0-1 Hull
Sunderland 1-2 Swansea

Man Utd 1-1 Palace
Swansea 1-0 West Brom

Wouldn't be much of a stretch. Hull having to beat Tottenham makes it unlikely but at home on the final day, their season likely done by that point, you never know. Good job for Palace St Totteringham's Day isn't on

The way Palace defend, it doesn't matter who they play at the moment. It's not beyond the realms of possibility for Palace to go down. Which seems quite amazing following their wins over Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea etc.

It would be REALLY funny if Palace went down (no offence Skinner). Will def be rooting for Marco Silva's brave boys this weekend.

For slightly different reasons. BFS used to manage the old enemy around our parts and I am sure (His England fall from grace is an example) he is as dodgy as fuck and was investigated along with his son! I just find the bloke like one of those dodgy car dealers you find who'd happily solder two different cars together to make a new one and sell it off as kosher! Nothing against Palace as I would like Brighton to get nil points next season.

Hull down with a whimper. Chucked it away at home to Sunderland last week. Think Marco Silva will get another job in the PL though.

Oh and Watford are extremely fortunate they got surprise victories at home to Man United and at Arsenal. Otherwise they would be in deep trouble.

If we'd drawn both games we'd have still been two points out of the relegation zone (and I don't think Hull would beat Spurs even if there were something riding on it), and even if we'd lost both (unless we lost both by 6 or more goals) we'd have still been 17th.

But yeah, we ought to be thankful in our case that stuffing our team full of different nationalities can just about work, even if it's more often than not at the expense of passion and team spirit, and we can play the odd game of good football, neither of which seem to apply in Hull's case if the games against them are anything to go by (yes they beat us 2-0 with ten men, but they certainly didn't look Premier League standard before they scored and we just gave up).

Well done Swansea, that's some run they've put together in the New Year after looking like they didn't have a hope.

We were (wrongly) reduced to ten men after 25 minutes and our first goal came after an hour. Is there any real surprise we didn't control the game as we'd liked?! And as for your other comment, under Silva we've been the 11th best in the division and our record at home is remarkable considering what went before (P8 W6 D1 L1). Yes, we've been relegated, but let's not suddenly start talking shite.

The blame for our relegation lies solely with our owners. We started the season with no manager, constant lies about the sale of our club, 13 fit senior players and no signings until the penultimate day of the window. If we're not sold before the start of pre-season, we are monumentally screwed.
