This is over isn't it? Can't see any of the bottom 3 putting up a fight. It's always a shame when you have a huge gap between the bottom 3 and the rest. Makes the end of the season a bit dull.

Big game for us tonight, up to the Brentford game we were slowly drifting back into the relegation battle, a win tonight will give us a fairly healthy cushion, and crucially if a 10 point deduction were to come we'd still have our heads above water.

I'll welcome back Elsie, just as I did up at Bloomfield Road a couple of months ago, he's an appallingly bad manager who's utterly clueless. He's a loveable idiot though, and for this day I'd always welcome him back and buy the fella a pint...

You could just focus on the Premier League instead and arse-lick the Villa contingent again when they miraculously survive relegation.

You would think so but there is something telling me that Millwall will still get out of it.

Having said that, just taken a look at both theirs and Rotherham's remaining fixtures and Rotherham's is far more favourable. I can't see anyone else being involved now, with Brighton winning last night it looks like 3 from 4 (With Blackpool & Wigan probably already gone).

That's 3 away games in a row they have won.If they sort out their poor home form than they may have a chance.

Bound to beat us in a couple of weeks - just the sort of game we lose.

It was a typical Lee Clark team, full of "pashun", no lack of effort, but despite all the endeavour they never really looked like scoring.

I hope they get out of it, don't especially like Blackpool the club or the town, but I do have a soft spot for 'Wor Lee'.

Nice that Wigan are giving themselves a chance. Massive win at Norwich that. Still just 2 home wins with 10-odd games to go is very poor. Hope they beat Leeds on Saturday to make things interesting. I'd rather Wigan stay up than Rotherham.

Wigan are at the New York a week on Saturday - results this weekend could make that game as significant as it was with Millwall last weekend - keeps it interesting

Wigan are a bigger threat to us than Millwall for sure.

They most certainly are - but the biggest threat of all is ourselves...... play like we did on Tuesday and we won't get much change from anywhere - but I'm positive in thinking we have just enough to keep us up!!

Massive weekend for Rotherham

Reading are 10 points ahead with 10 games to go (and we have a game in hand on Tuesday).

Should be enough. Feel confident in my prediction that 46 points will be enough.

Wigan and Millwall 8 points adrift after today's results. Can't see any of the current bottom three going on a good enough run to catch the likes of Fulha, Rotherham and Brighton.

At least Leon Clarke can add another relegation to his CV :fish:

Yeah this is done. Can't believe Wigan keep failing to build on good away results.

We won't go down but I wouldn't be at all surprised if we were the team to finish 21st.

He is a little lying prick mate. After a wage and nothing else. Doesn't care about our club, has let Karl dictate who and who he can't pick.

Tactically inept, disgusting accent, useless team selections. The worst manager we've had in 30 years. He isn't the problem though, our owners are. He's lucky that they are clouding his absolutely dogshit managerial stint with us. He's an idiot.

We will stay up easily. The sides in the bottom 3 on current form are not going to go on a long winning streak.Beat Brighton on Tuesday night and then make some changes for the Watford away game on Saturday.Rest a few before the Bradford cup replay on Monday night.

Yeah there is no-way that anyone above Fulham will be going down now. Think it's finished now, personally.

Wigan look like they have the toughest run-in of any of the bottom teams too (with Fulham the easiest).

46/47 points to stay up, a comfortable target for all of us above the line.

Blackpool down if they lose their next three, but they could be officially relegated in two games even if they win both of them.

Think we will be gone in 4/5 games time.

Big win for Wigan today, they've still got a chance of getting out. Fulham look the most likely to drop in.

Hmmm, my natural home, this thread. Always the way with Rovrum. Was reading the thread and thought I'd contribute, I have something to say! then realised.......forgot my bloody login password...anyway sorted that, then noticed a mod message saying welcome (I'm new like)...password - check, came back to this thread=check..........and buggger me can't remember what wanted to say. If you've read this, you've just wasted 10secs of your life (or 10mins if you're from north Derbyshire, 20 if you're from Maltby!!). It'll come back in a minute, just need to think of summat else.

I had to leave Wigan game on 85mins, to get to a family do on time. Up to then I couldn't remember Wigan making a single chance from open play, but the Football League paper said 4 shots on target for W.A. Anway.. old bloke with a thick Irish accent said to me, while I was making my way to the exit,"they deserved it didn't they", meaning Wigan did. He meant it, I replied that I thought WA played purposely for free kicks and to not to get beat, (fair enough, can't allow a 12pt gap develop, perhaps). They got two goals from said free kicks. I reflected...whilst walking back to car (first time sober at home game this season)..........WA did deserve it...and you know what they seem to have done exactly what it takes to get points out of games. Also that Harry bloody MacGuire had a blinder against us again (Sheff U last season 0-1, Bramall La). Wigan lose HM I believe after yesterday;s game and (all disrespect) I'm glad because WAFC look a threat to avoid relegation as they seem to be playing 'what ever it takes' footy and it worked ! I'm a wee bit worried. Come on Bolton for next week, Help!
