I'm a Christian, but I keep my faith to myself though and I don't go to church or anything.

Do you believe non-Christians will suffer in hell for eternity?

I don't know for sure.

Maybe they'd be judged on whether they were a good person or not.

That would be convenient, though it would run completely counter to Christian scripture.

Sucks to be a Viking, Ancient Greek, Roman, Aztec or whatever.

Absolutely no way that you could possibly have known about Jesus and his Dad, but you are going to be spending an eternity in hell for not believing in them.

They still get a chance to be judged and if they are a good person then they get to go to heaven, but if they're a bad person then the trapdoor button get's pressed and they go to hell.

Some would, earlier ones wouldn't. I'll ditch Romans and bang in Ancient Egyptians instead.

Point is, there were a metric fuckton of religions before Christianity, or at the same time but away from Christianitys influence... Are they all going to hell?

That's not what the bible says.

I'm not. But I can read.

"But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”

Revelation 21:8

Seems pretty clear cut to me. As does this...

"God is just: He will pay back trouble to those who trouble you and give relief to you who are troubled, and to us as well. This will happen when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven in blazing fire with his powerful angels. He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might on the day he comes to be glorified in his holy people and to be marveled at among all those who have believed. This includes you, because you believed our testimony to you. "

II Thessalonians 1:6-10

It's not actually that clear-cut though, those passages say "he will" punish those that do not know God, which could mean that he's punishing those after the Bible had been codified. There are quite a few passages (in typical contradictory religious text fashion) that allow an argument that those with God's spirit who died before Jesus could get into heaven. The Mormons have a clause for it, they are clearly smarter than the Christians:

"The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, (LDS Church) or Mormonism, teaches that those who die without knowledge of LDS theology will have the opportunity to receive a knowledge of the gospel of Jesus Christ in the spirit world."

The Bible is a pretty woeful read, easier to sift through than the Qur'an though. Bit preachy.

Mormons work from a different text. I've no idea what any other religions say about it, but there are passages that are very clear.

Revelation is the Armageddon manual and is very clear. But apparently it's contradictory to itself in other bits.

But yeah, religious people cherry picking the bits they want.

Perhaps people shouldn't try and base their entire lives, morals and attitudes whilst trying to force others to do the same on a book which no one can actually understand what it is trying to say?!

You've read the whole BIble. Fair play, most Christians haven't even done that.

I've not read the entire manual to my car, but I read the bit about recommended tyre pressure, so now my tyres are the right pressure.
