He will fire Dover to seven straight wins then not score for the rest of the season.

Feels a bit disingenuous putting him here since he scored 20 last season, but Alex Reid is instagramming himself in a resteraunt whilst the rest of the squad were travelling down to Dagenham. Even Millenic Alli, who's been on loan at Chorley this season, made the squad. Don't know what's gone wrong with Reid but every time we've seen glimpses of him this season he's looked absolutely woeful.

James Rowe might be interested, since he's apparently trying to collect every available NL striker irrespective of ability

Chesterfield are currently doing a fundraiser to raise enough money for a taxi to take Joe Quigley back to Yeovil.

Only just seen this thread and haven’t been back through it all. I assume Rakish Bingham is in this thread somewhere? Had his own thread at one point thanks to the Poolies.

He should be in here just for sounding like a PG Wodehouse character.

Should have had hattrick shouldn't he?
Should have had at least 1. He didn’t look terrible, it was more how him being on the pitch made us alter our formation, style of play etc.

Funny that, as our new striker also made Hurst alter formation and tactics to accommodate him. Not seen enough of him yet to say how good or bad he is but on First viewing he is no different to what we already have in Taylor and LJL, another forward that is strong and can hold the ball up.

Why we decided to go 4-3-3 to have him and Taylor and McAtee on and put McAtee into the midfield 3 is a question only Hurst can answer.

Though it did seem to be working until we scored as we were much better than them until that point. Second half though with Drew going off they exploited our lack of width very well and we offered nothing.

Still am not sure we need to have both Abraham's and Taylor on the pitch at the same time including changing formation and it's doubtful he is the number 9 we need.

We tried to find a way of playing which has Asante, Kabongo and Quigley on the pitch whilst maintaining our back 5 that Rowe likes. Meant we started with 2 midfielders on the pitch and some fucked up 5-2-3 formation.

As we had no midfield we bypassed them and went long at every opportunity. Rowe has got a lot right obviously but it was a mess on Saturday, we should have stuck with what we know.

Byron Harrison, who managed 477 goalless minutes (actually, it is probably more) for us two seasons back, has just re-signed for us on loan.

He is in good company here, where shit strikers are concerned. Marcus Dinanga has now gone 16 league games without a goal. The prodigal son that is Jordan Hulme has 2 in 16. I despair of Phil Parkinson lately.

In the spirit of credit where it's due, Dinanga has scored in 5 consecutive games since my post.......Hulme remains goalless, Harrison appears to have disappeared as quickly as he reappeared.

Came here with a heavy heart to add Dior Angus to the list. He's scored 4 league goals this season, 3 of which came on the August Bank Holiday weekend. The pair he scored against Chesterfield were finishes as fine as any you could hope to see.

Yesterday he looked like he'd never played the game. He actually appeared to repel the ball, like the two like poles of a magnet, and he spent more time on the floor than on his feet.
