Still staying up to watch it though. Need some caffeine though! :D

Konta loses 5 and 2. Oh well, tremendous effort for her to go that far. Hopefully she could make it a regular occurrence! :D

Jamie Murray through to the mens doubles final also. What a run he's been having too this last year! :)

Well that was brilliant. Excellent Tennis from Djokovic, but plenty of time for Federer to respond yet.

Fucking hell, Federer is going to be lucky if he wins 3 games total let alone the 6 he'd need to win a set.

Game over. Double break up in the second set, total domination. I'm done.

Double break for Djoko in the second set. Awesome:gr:

Job done for Djoko in 4 sets. An excellent match that.

Federer should just retire now, there's no getting past robot Djokovic.

for selfish reasons I want him to (I hate seeing him lose) but not being as good as Djokovic isn't a reason to retire, if it was everyone else should retire too? While he's still competing and reaching semi-finals & finals, there's no reason for him to retire - don't forget he's still third in the world (2nd if Murray loses to Raonic).

It's so boring Djokovic winning all the time and he never seems to have any weaknesses now.

Seems a bit strange to have 3 semi finals one day then the last one on the next - gives Djokovic an advantage really - as if he needs anymore!

That's exactly how i used to feel when Federer was winning all the time. Thankfully Djokovic now beats him on a regular basis.

Was rooting for Djokovic just for him to stick it to the crowd. This sycophancy of Federer is nauseating and completely disrespectful to Djokovic when they play.

Was a fun match though with some great shot making unlike tomorrow's semi where the only tennis being on display will be by our Andy. Hope he can get through, I didn't realise it was level between him and servebot on meetings.

I guess it's down to personal preference but I've always found Federer enjoyable to watch so didn't really get bored of him winning all the time. Whereas with Djokovic, I just don't find him that entertaining. He's clearly a phenomenal player and I have no doubt that he'll comfortably end his career as goat but he's just a well-oiled machine, ruthlessly efficient and consistent. He is infinitely better to watch than Nadal though so that's something.

Raonic is boring as fuck, so one-dimensional. If he got through, I don't know if I could bring myself to watch the final. Although... it would be fun to see Djokovic destroy him and it would be a bit of a novelty watching a match I want Djok to win (his dismantling of Nadal, for example, was quite enjoyable).

British representation: 4 in quarter-finals, 3 in semi-finals, Murray has to win to make it 2 in finals, then while I'd love for 2 titles too I can't see Andy beating Djok so it's all on Jamie in the doubles.

There's a Scotsman in the final of the wheelchair doubles as well I just found out.

Onto Raonic, he has improved his volleying (to a degree) and his returning, but he's like Ferrer in that he'll only play the one way. If Murray or Djokovic are on form, there is no way he wins. Bloody hope not anyway, Raonic winning this would be like deja vu like under the dark days of Sampras.

Yes it is depresing to watch Raonic, I remember when Kyrgios beat Nadal at Wimbledon and got to the QF to face Raonic only for him to bore his way past Kyrgios and get swept aside by Federer after in what was probably the most boring Wimbledon semi final ever because of how uncompetitive Raonic was.

Oh and get this, he goes to art galleries the day before a match!

Long term gains.
He's in the singles final already and play's currently suspended in his doubles semi.

As for the Murray match, I'm hoping for a Raonic win, seen enough Djokovic-Murray finals over the years. Fancy Murray to get through though, despite his h2h against Raonic being a bit odd. Fed, Djok, Nadal and Ferrer all lead comfortably in their h2h's against Raonic whereas Murray's only tied. :pond:

Why would you not want Murray to win?

Any chance of this servebot malfunctioning yet?

I just feel it'll be same old story. Murray's record in this tournament is unbelievable but he has been denied by Djokovic time and again so I'm not sure what he can do differently to the previous defeats.

Just has to hope Djokovic plays like he did against Simon, can't see it though.

Murray with a break in the fourth. Though looking like Raonic might break back.

Yes? You said he was in the doubles final, that article is about him making the singles final (which is what I said).

Irrelevant now though, he and his partner won today so he's in both the singles and doubles finals.
Yeah crossed wires on that I was forgetting that you could have both singles and doubles for the wheelchair matches as well!

Anyway I was up to watch the first set, saw 15 mins and then went to bed as I just cannot watch that servebot, it's just so bad. Murray eventually prevailed in four hours and is through to the final, let's hope he can give Djokovic a match.

Last two Aus Open finals between them has seen it tied at 1 set all (both winning a tiebreak) before Djokovic storms the last two sets as Murray starts to tire.

For me, Murray has to win the first set tomorrow to have any chance. He has to hit Djokovic off the court like Stan did in the French Open final last year. It's high risk but if he does the usual iron man counter punch strategy with constant 20+ stroke rallies, there's only one winner.

Murray is good enough to play the all out attack way. He's done it once or twice in the past in matches where he's been underdog and done pretty well.

Kerber takes the 1st set - will that wake Serena up?

Kerber 1 game away from beating Serena!

Won the singles in straight sets. He and his partner are bottling the doubles spectacularly. They were 5-0 up in the deciding set. Now back on serve at 5-4. :ffs:

Lost 5-7 from 5-0 up. How do you even do that?

Well done Angie Kerber. Thought she'd bottled it at the end there but she retrieved well (as she nearly always does) all match and deserved to beat the machine.
