Djokovic looking like he means business so far, testing and teasing Stan around all over the place in this first set. Stan has been quite a slow starter this fortnight, so I wouldn't utterly write him off if he loses this first set.

Stan breaks back, so this first set could go either way now!

It's going to be a late night i feel, but it's worth staying up to watch these two excellent players do battle.

Djokovic wins the tiebreak so lets see if Stan can step it up like he did in his other slam wins, or will Djokovic just fly off. The standard is excellent however if Stan can cut down on his serving errors.

Stan does it again! Wins in four sets! Djokovic was clearly feeling the effects of those toenail issues, but it wasn't to be for him today and Stan the man prevails! If only Murray had got there...

Edmund needs to win this one - not sure how fit Murray will be for doubles tomorrow.

Tie likely gone but got to hand it to Argentina. Thought Del Potro and Pella were both superb. Murray is clearly absolutely shattered but massive credit to him for the effort throughout. Personally, this is how I'd line up if we're any chance to win 3 in a row.

A Murray needs to save whatever he has left for the 2nd singles. Evans has a much better chance against Delpo than Edmund for me. Edmund will be a very good player but at present lacks the variety to challenge a player like Delpo. Edmund will hit the forehand hard and Delpo will hit it back harder with more consistency. It's a match for Evans to slice and play the angles to try and get Delpo heavy legged.

Big ask though.

There is still half a chance but yeah it is a massive ask, and fair play to Argentina here who have taken the game to us and it's worked so far.

Well Andy has now levelled it to 2 - 2 and Evans is playing Mayer (not Del Potro! ) and is a set up! Can the most unlikeliest of comebacks be on the cards!?!

I see Croatia are at home - guess they will be favourites to win but be nice to see Del Potro and co win.

We'd have been hard pressed to beat Croatia. Murray would have been favoured to win both ties but Cilic would have been no gimme. Our number 2 player would have had to have tried to beat Coric which is possible but they'd be 2nd favourite. It'd probably fall on the doubles and a pairing of Dodig and Cilic is right up there. The fact they beat Mahut and Hughes Herbert in 4 says it all.

Good luck to the Argies. They're going to need Del Potro to go in as number 2 again and beat CIlic first match to give them any hope really.

He can get there this year if he does well in Paris and the Tour Finals but it's likely to be early next I reckon as Djokovic has a lot of points to defend early on.

Yeah agreed let's hope he can do it, it would be a remarkable achievement particularly with how dominant Djokovic has been.
