The standard is at an all-time high, these big guns are just too good when it comes down to it. 6 of the top 8 seeds in the QF's plus Barney (who is a huge name anyway). If Lewis had avoided Barney he'd be in there too. I would love to see an MvG v Anderson final here.

I love darts more than pretty much all other sports, but my god you wouldn't get me there watching it live. The same four chants on repeat for 3-4 hours, and half the crowd spending most of the night looking in the other direction. How many of them there today had even heard of Daryl Gurney, Ian White and Darren Webster

Don't mind who wins it now. MVG deserves it after his amazing year, Barney has had a crazy tough draw in this and will fully deserve it if he wins, Peter Wright has been ridiculously consistent the last 2-3 years, and I'm a big Anderson fan anyway

114 average in a world championship SF against a top player like Barney, absolutely unbelievable that is.

Against anyone else in the final you'd say he's unbeatable but I think he'll need another great performance to beat Anderson. Anderson will match him all the way for scoring and MvG's pace will suit him better than playing Wright today.

Feel sorry for Barney, play that well and still get tonked 6-2, you just can't compete against it. Fair play to MVG, though, he's faced at least two players who have had the game of their lives against him in this tournament and he's come through them better each time.

The final tomorrow is going to be an absolute cracker for a tournament that has seen a standard this year that has blown previous years' out the water.
