Up the fucking Blues!

Nicky Adams is too good for us, 11 assists in the league so far.

We deserve him and it's about time we had a quality creative player and not the usual scraps we'd get left with.

"Hey Reg, ask Keith if he's still interested in me. My mobile number is still the same, keep in touch pal."

HG if you love Matt Green so much then why don't you marry him?

We have another as well in Jamie Devitt. A player who actually created more than Adams last season.

Hasn't really happened for Devitt yet but it will, and when it does we'll be even more dangerous.

Guys like Kennedy and Joyce have stepped up so it's been hard for Devitt to get a good run in the team, all Devitt has done is get two sending offs lol.

He's contributed more than that.

I thought we were utter dog shit against Exeter and Devitt's introduction changed the game, he got on the ball and his passing opened up the game for us by moving them around a bit more.

Barnet away he was also excellent.

And although I wasn't there his performances in the tinpot trophy have been apparently very good.

Yep it's going really well, so are no season tickets going to get flushed down the loo this season HG?

Just a little reality check that anything can and often will happen in lower Leagues - supported with a recent example. Promotion never won by Feb let alone Nov!!!! ;-)

Choo Choo. Right on track as expected. A little inconsistent as a young Manager and a young team develop. I'm happy. Think the Top 3 are the best sides and Portsmouth and ourselves trying to get it together to keep you honest.

Looking forward to our game in a few weeks as another benchmark for us and a chance to put Pompey behind us but see the same outcome a real possibility.

We're certainly playing the type of football at the moment that brings results like the one at Kenilworth last season.

We're a pessimistic bunch so Carver aside you'd be hard pushed to find a Carlisle fan who expects promotion, we just think we've given ourselves a really good chance, but at the same time we now have something we need to hang on to, there's more pressure.

Shoddy you're not pessimistic, HG on the other hand, well it's actually his sort of attitude which does not help. I don't know if players and staff look at internet forums but I'm sure that if they did, reading HG's comments would piss them off a lot and maybe have a negative effect on them.

They'd be all like "Yeah we won! But this fan here still says we're shit. Who is this moron?".

Spot on Carver. I'm sure all the Carlisle players and coaching staff (and perhaps the tea lady too) all look forward to logging onto this forum to read what HG thinks. But then they read your comments and everything's fine and dandy.

:fl: Carver! When they play shit (even if they win like last week) I don't think they need to look on a forum to realise it. They are professional footballers, i'm pretty sure they are fully aware when they haven't played well.

Or at least if they aren't aware, they'll soon find out in the Monday morning video analysis session.

You're too modest, we all know that if you hadn't posted anything at half-time yesterday the players would have had no idea we needed to improve and we'd have gone on to lose.

That's why I do it. Keith Curle sends me a quick text on about the 44 minute mark requesting a good half time team talk. He then displays this forum on the big screen in the changing room so they can all read my assessment.

Then it's all fist pumps and COME ON BOYS!! then they go out second half and win the game.

I didn't literally mean it, all I'm saying is that you need to stop being a buzzkill every time we win.

I liked the Griffin, real decent place.

Found it bizarre there were 2 wetherspoons next to one another - the one closest to the Griffin seemed to be a bit of a party central, and the one further on was more quieter and older.

Well one of them is a Lloyd's No 1, just an ordinary Spoons in most respects but with music and such.

What's this I hear about you finding a pub with a roaring fire?

The Griffin.

Well it wasn't "roaring" but certainly warm.

Like the bloody arctic up there on Friday night ha

Huh, can't say I've ever noticed a fire in there. Shows how much attention I pay to my surroundings.

Was a pretty fucking cold night was Friday. It's a good job we were able to send Steve Evans out onto the pitch Saturday morning to defrost it with the heat given off by his head.
