Talking Dead borders on propaganda.
This show is utter shite now, shit acting, poor directing, lazy writing, cheap budget.
It's just all so crap compared to what it used to be and that new group showing up at the end, who the hell are they? The Goth Community? I thought it was supposed to be the apocalypse and all of a sudden there are now all these new big groups of random people showing up who are even more absurd than the last.
The TV show has lost its way big time, I can see it ending pretty soon.
What do you mean?
They're all just sat in that studio raving about how great The Walking Dead is. I find it pretty annoying because if you watch the programme then it's clear that is not the reality. Negan is the most fantastic villain to have ever walked the earth. Rick's soul-searching is so relevant we can all feel it.The writing is apparently fantastic.
I feel how I imagine a Soviet citizen would in late 1980s, hearing radio broadcasts preaching about the greatness of Soviet tractor farming while there's bugger all on the shelves. The writing has been so pants. I don't think I could handle more than five minutes of it.
Were they not the female group from before the break?
Does anyone remember the black man who went missing on the scavenge in that episode by the way?
I really don't know why I'm still watching this...
What did Michonne say? "We're the ones that survive?" Ha ha bye Michonne, welcome new black character, whoever you turn out to be.
Just a random, shit, cryptic piece of writing from the writers most likely.
I won't quit because I have invested so many man hours into The Walking Dead but it is absolutely shocking at the minute.
It's miles away from the level of Breaking Bad, The Wire, etc. They had what was potentially one of the best shows on the television, but it has been let down by such consistently poor writing.
Someone said that it would have been better on a different television network and it's hard to disagree.
^This^I've been following this thread from afar and have felt some of the criticism was a little harsh and people should just take it for what it is.
However, yesterday's episode was absolutely abysmal. Where have all these communities sprung up from? What the hell are these scavengers about, and why are they acting like some weird cult rather than normal human beings? Why have they got a walker dressed in armour like something from the labyrinth?
It's like the writers realise there's no possible way Rick's group can defeat the saviours so are just making people up from thin air to increase his army.
I will carry on watching as I've also invested too much time already but this is becoming pathetic.
That fucking community. Where to start. Let's try with this:
Why in the fuck are they like that? What in the fuck? They feel almost post-post apocalyptic. They feel like the sort of thing that would spring up several generations after civilization has collapsed and then been rebuilt and THEN several generations have passed and they now speak in some new form where language has been made shorthand with gestures, whistles and words replacing sentences. If you look around, it's generally agreed that less than 2 years has passed in the TV show. TWO YEARS. And they're acting like that, talking like that, looking like that, and living in trash, basically acting like they're living in the world of Mad fucking Max. Maybe, in the far, far future, you could say that it'd be plausible for such a society to exist (but even then, I'd probably say fuck off)... but these people, two years ago, were working in offices and going to shops and living normal lives.
And then there's this;
Rick goes and gets guns off of a boat, which is set up to be VERY tricky. This establishes that he is very skilled and capable of getting guns in difficult circumstances.
Rick then finds his way to trash heap city, with very little to go on, once again proving how fucking good he is at getting shit done.
Rick is then forced to fight a monster from Resident Evil or some shit to prove that he... is skilled, capable and good at getting shit done...? In the process, he impales his hand and takes a cut on his leg.
Now they want him to go and get guns for them.
So, in making him fight that thing to prove stuff they ALREADY FUCKING KNEW in the first place, he is now no longer at 100% when he goes to get said guns.
Smart.
Incinerate a doctor because you have a hunch with no actual evidence and replace him with a guy you've known 5 minutes who claims to be a doctor but hasn't actually performed any surgery on anyone or anything else to prove it. Legit. But he did have an idea about molten metalling up your goon defence so obviously a genius.
I like Eugene, he's such a wet lettuce. Average episode though.
Can we just get to the big war between Negan and Rick and his unlikeable bunch of wankers? Also, are the Scavengers meant to be the Whisperers?
