I'd say that for the 11 episodes we've seen so far this series only 3 of them are worth a watch, the first episode was great, the mid season finale and the latest one we've just seen were average. All the rest are utter dog turd, some worse than others.

Well that was looking to be a good episode until that blatantly obvious fake deer appeared!!

Wasn't the worst episode, just wish the writers would keep some consistency.

Walkers are supposed to be attracted by light and noise. At that abandoned fair, why did all the zombies follow a car that has silently gone past them when there was a machine gun firing away. Surely they would head towards that?

I didn't like it to be honest. Stupidity should be punished in The Walking Dead and there was plenty of it on show.

At long last we have an episode that finally gives us the catalyst for the rise against Negan we have been anticipating since Glenn got his head bashed in.

Before the episode swings into action we witness members of the Kingdom placing a lone canteloupe into the back of their truck in an obvious foreboding of what is to follow in the next 60 minutes or so. A prominent bloodstain at the forefront of the frame leaving us in no doubt that the shit is about to hit the fan.

We're then thrown into Carol's dark world once more as she awakens from an obvious nightmare. She knows something isn't right, she has a gut feeling that Daryl was not entirely honest when they last spoke, she has a connection to the other members of the group bordering on the telepathic. They've been through too much together and it's only a matter of time before she returns to the fold. A scene where she takes out several walkers with a 'one way' sign pretty much consolidating what we were all expecting anyway.

Morgan is the other character at the centrepiece of this episode. Has anyone ever been in any doubt that he would eventually snap and kill? Not I. Richard provides us with the sympathetic marytyr we all need. He lost his wife and daughter in the initial chaos of the zombie apocalypse and he is willing to sacrifice himself in order that the only people he cares about may see the light and rise up against Negan's oppression. All does not go to plan obviously and we lose young Benjamin in the process. But this is what we needed, to lose an important character to light the fuse of the uprising.

I just feel like the previous 12 hours or so have all been worth it and in hindsight a perfect build up to where we are now, on the cusp of something epic.

My only gripe with this episode is the lack of zombie action.

Which is kinda the problem with The Walking Dead at the moment. We're not tuning in to see what will happen, we already know what will happen, we're just having a look to see if we're nearly there yet.

It was ok but bloody hell it was telegraphed all the way. Lets flesh out Ben a bit, his lil bro looks up to him during training, he wants to learn more from Carol, he apparently has a girlfriend, that info given in snippets early on when theres never been a hint of interest in him before is like a giant 'He's Dead' tattoo planted on his forehead. Morgan and Jesus, special forces, sneak attack. DO IT.

same thing happened with spencer as i said/predicted on page 19. here's an irrelevant character that's barely on screen, oh look he's suddenly become relevant and here's a bit of his story before we inevitably kill him off in the next episode or two. eb summed it up well, you can already see what's going to happen, the writers couldn't make it more obvious, you're just tuning in to see if it's happened yet. the sad thing is i think the writers think they've been reyt clever about it.

A righteous fight. A reminder of the good versus the bad, as if it wasn't already made abundantly clear by the merciless bashing in of a well loved characters head in such a graphically presented way that my pops, a man who let me watch 18 rated horror films before I got to secondary school, has now boycotted coz 'it knocked me sick'.

Maggie's forgiveness of Daryl... it's my fault and all that, and really it was his fault in a way, I mean sure they were fucked already but Daryl kicking off certainly didn't help matters. But we need that togetherness to shine through or otherwise what is the point?

PS... it was Dwight at the end, quite obviously.

A fairly alright episode apart from Negan being fake and cheesy as usual.

I feel like the chances are high that the war barely even gets going in the final episode and lots of people are left pissed off.

People aren't pissed off anymore they just laugh at how bad it is.

No matter what happens in the finale this has been by far the worst season in my opinion.

Completely underwhelming finale, they could have at least tied it up so we can introduce the Whisperers already. What a piece of shit season that really was.

That awful finale just summed up how bad the whole season has been.

Everything about it now is just so lame and sloppy. The way they direct it like having those stupid jump scenes and flashbacks, the awful boring dialogues, lazy writing and very poor acting from the guy who plays Negan and those stupid trash people along with king Shakesphere and his CGI tiger.

It's all fucking nursery ryme bullshit now!

I'm done with it.

Far worse than the farm season, which actually isn't that bad if you binge it.

The worst part was Negan was able to hold off zombie Sasha and avoid any bites despite falling off the truck....... A random pulls her off and instantly has a chunk ripped out of them after they wrestle to the floor.

Ah well, back to Fear The Walking Dead in a couple of months time, which is just more realistic and better, for now.

And Jesus can just easily waltz right up to her and hold her down for an age waiting for Maggie to pull her shit together.

Ha.

I never thought I'd say it either but Fear The Walking Dead was actually done better than this last season of The Walking Dead as at least there is no nursery rhyme type characters in it like tiger man, the trash people and Negan and like you say it is more realistic and put together properly for the most part.

Whoever wrote and directed this last season is a c***.

I've not actually ever seen Fear TWD, but I'm guessing it'll be a lot more realistic, if for nothing else, because it's not following the story of a comic book. Characters like Negan and Ezekiel feel perfect within the comic book world... but over the top and cartoonish when put into a live action show. FearTWD gets to just do whatever it wants.

Anyway, bullshit finale. The entire season took way too much time getting toward one big inevitable balls out war... then the war was like 10 mins long and just ended with people running away and no real conclusion. So it can get dragged out for ANOTHER season. So in short, it was a drawn out season to build to a finale, and the finale was used to build for next season.

Thought they were decent. Hopeful it will be better than season 2, although I'm not sure it's possible to be worse.
