I do not know how they are going to end this. They could/should have ended with Negan being saved and all the Savours being left alive. I do not understand why they now need to make a new rivalry. They sort of covered everything (that ex savour wanting to build things, everyone helping each other etc) so now they will just do another series or 2 where they are fighting everyone and anyone.

The whisperers storyline mostly about rape though.

I hope they don’t as the whisperers was a damp squid, I rather they just had a civil war or had zombie problems for a season

i'm not even that bothered anymore its now a very average show....... prefer Daredevil and Game of Thrones anyway

While the departure of series lead Lincoln - AMC has yet to comment on the star's pending exit - or just how Cohan's Maggie will be written out after the actress' salary standoff with the cable network, she painted a larger picture of her vision for The Walking Dead.

AMC is working to finalize a $20 million annual deal to make Norman Reedus (Daryl) the new No.1 on the show's call sheet.

So they kill off or lose their best characters and do a time jump and think that is going to work. Good luck but no gimmick is going to fix it. In fact, I don't see any way out of its current rut.

Season 9 is set to premiere on October 7th on AMC.

With Andrew Lincoln finally addressing that he's leaving the show, and season 9 about to unleash The Whisperers! With Samantha Morton (Minority Report) would be playing the leader of the Whisperers, Alpha.

Lauren Cohan is reportedly only going to appear in a handful of episodes in the upcoming ninth season. Other casting news Nadia Hilker (The 100) has also been cast as comic character Magna and Dan Fogler will join the series as a former music teacher called Luke.

I don't think I care any more. I'll wait for the reactions but I'll be surprised if it's anything more than more of the same. They've never written political intrigue or inter-group 'strategery' particularly well, which is where the show is at now narratively-speaking, and I don't see that changing.

I gave it a go but I'm done with it now.

People were STILL making ridiculously naive decisions that they never would have made in the first few seasons. Darryl in particular is a complete sap these days, he used to be cool.

The whole Rick last episode & Gimple being sent packing I thought it was a change.

I wake up today to find Gimple been given a film trilogy with lots more money & Fucking Rick as the star

This show is finished
