The fact that Maggie heard Gabriel fills me with joy.

Aaah ha ha. They have a black guy quota. When they kill one they have to put another one in. I wondered who we'd get after Noah snuffed it.
i thought Noah was the replacement for the other black guy who died some episodes before

He was. The area they're supposed to be in is like 30-something-% 'African American' so they seem to feel they have to keep a few black characters in it at all times, but really they should probably have a lot more they do.

yeah, maybe, but you shouldnt forget that in tv terms an asian has the same value as three blacks and a woman

They possess incredible strength though, apparently. And can bite through almost anything it seems even with their rotted teeth. But apparently they can easily be distracted by things like flares and fires. It's a ridiculous show but I do love it.

They seem to possess incredible strength when the show wants gore. Like when they rip open people's stomachs and eat their insides. But when a fans' favourite like Glen is wrestling a zombie that's inches away from biting his arm, he can resist it.

I do think us humans would unite rather than be divided though. I mean, if it absolutely was me or someone else, it'd be someone else. But that would only be last resort.

I mean, the revolving door. It doesn't matter who you are, you'd work together to get out of it. If you couldn't get out of it, you'd stay there for a bit both of you and wait for help, surely? Eugene had the van and could have gone to fetch the group.

Perhaps I'm soft because I'm not living in a zombie apocalypse.

Hmm, I thought there would be more of a build up to the meaning of W on the foreheads. Michonne is clearly desperate for Alexandria to work, therefore the punch.

I am slightly annoyed at Rick I think he has taken it too far. Because lets face it Alexandria has survived this long with its current regieme.

His rant did go overboard (gun wasn't the best idea), and he could have been more intelligent with the way he went about the whole thing. His problem is that he may be underestimating Deanna and co. As said they've survived this long, they're bound to have done some things that they aren't letting on about. And they're not going to be that stupid. Saying that, Rick does have a point about the fact that she seems ok turning a blind eye to the fact that there's a guy beating on his wife, and he's allowed to get away with it because he's a surgeon. A bit like the way Officer Dawn let the coppers get away with feeling up patients in Grady memorial hospital. If he was just one of the labouring guys, would he be allowed to do it?

Rick should have waited for bruises to show up on her and then tried to act. Everything will be fine though. Rick's still one of the hardest members of the group and they'll need him to fight the Ws. Once that happens I imagine everything will be swanky and they'll live happily ever after.

Don't agree with you though JimJams. I think the walls have shielded the folk of Alexandria and their performance on supply runs illustrated that.

The construction of those walls frustrates the hell out of me.

VERY poor from the producers, unless they are going to be a plot line.

What's wrong with the wall?

Good episode, looking forward to the season finale. I think the show has steadily improved over the past season or two.

I don't know anything about what happens in the comics but next week's season finale is titled 'Conquer', so I'm going to assume that whoever is behind all the 'W' sign (I read in another place that in the place Tyreese died, it had written on the walls 'Wolves Not Far', so I'm guessing that's them) are going to try and take Alexandria and a few people are going to die, mostly the people that were already there and lived a sheltered life.

My money's on the one in the gay couple who has only had about two minute's worth of screen-time, and the other one (Aaron?) will become a permanent member of the group.

Almost up to date comicwanker spoilers...
The W carvings on heads isn't in the comics, however this could possibly be The Whisperers maybe? Would be totally different to the order of the comics, though.

A team that used to be good
Good finale,

Great to see a Morgan back, won't say too much else, but it has me licking my lips for the next season..

I've not read the comics but as "season finales" go I thought it was pretty underwhelming compared to previous ones, don't know what I was expecting but hardly anything conclusive seemed to happen and the group became idiots again. The experienced huntsman and streetwise Darryl decides getting deliberately trapped into a car is the best course of action, meanwhile Glen gets shot but is still absolutely fine to lie on the ground and fight off a number of walkers who are crawling all over him. Rick killed off the guy he's been wanting to bump off for 8 episodes. Oh, and that guy turned up again though, the one who appears for about 10 mins every other season.

He is pretty great though, let's be honest.

I enjoyed it although I was expecting
One of the main characters to get killed off, partly because I'm sure that I read a potential comic spoiler on another forum, a few weeks back. Surprised both Gabriel and that annoying kid were spared. I'm sure they'll be one of the first victims of the 'Wolves' next season. They look pretty great antagonists - can't wait for it.

Because of how much the show has improved overall this season, S6 will probably be my most anticipated yet.

Macclesfield Town/Manchester City. It's complicated.
The one thing that just always annoys me is that at the end of the episode, there's the dramatic incident, a cut to black and then the second fucking name is Caleb fucking Womble.

Doesn't half drag you out of the experience to suddenly think that it was written by Orinoco or Uncle chuffing Bulgaria.

I just realised that the ambulance full of heads with Ws on was probably a trap. I can't understand why they are doing that, just for the thrills?

Some bizarre stuff happened.
Like the fact Glen took a bullet to the shoulder yet was still strong enough to fight off two walkers. Then when he overpowered that coward he didn't shoot him. Anyone in their right mind would have shot him. Then Father Gabriel leaving the gate open, he just wouldn't have done that. But I'm sort of accepting the fact that this is television and it's a zombie apocalypse, shit ain't gonna be realistic. And it's been good television if you don't look at it too critically. Probably one of the best seasons.

Takeover's done. Morgan didn't look too pleased seeing Rick blow some guys head off, but never mind.

Sorry I never saw your post!

As pointed out the supports should be in the inside to, well support the wall against a force great enough to knock them over.

I think they put the supports that way because steel is stronger in tension than compression. I presume the idea behind it is that the walkers aren't tall enough to produce a great overturning force, or that the supports are big enough to provide a large moment against it.

Of course it's still plain dumb in terms of keeping people out rather than zombies but Rick's group know that.

So with the Walking Dead resting now until early October time, I was wondering what everyone's 3 favourite episodes are of all the series that have been done so far.

The 3 that stand out for me are.....

S1 THE FIRST EPISODE - this episode being so visually awesome and so well written drew the viewers in. I wasn't sure about the program myself but I thought I'll give the first episode a try (similar to Breaking Bad, which I just don't really like). it definitely did it for me. i've been hooked ever since.

S3 CLEAR - i remember watching this and buzzing about it for days. it's not the most goriest or the most action packed episode but the acting in it is top notch, probably the best acting I can remember. The re-meeting of Rick & Morgan after the months of trying to find each other was memorable, but Lennie James was absolutely brilliant. You felt every emotion he poured out. As a side note, Michonne & Carl were also brilliant on this episode in their little side-story about the picture in the bar that Carl wanted.

S5 PREMIER - this is definitely the most action packed episode that's been done. So much happens in this episode that is absolutely crazy. The opening scene with Glenn, Daryl, Rick & Bob knelt over a trough waiting to be slaughtered is tense, and then the whole mad rescue angle with Carol & Tyreese saving the baby from that Hunter guy.

The season 5 premier and the Noah death episode were pretty close for me but I went for the premier instead.

Is there a première date for Fear the Walking Dead yet? Meant to start this summer I think.
