Actually had a couple of hours of rain Monday am, and a brief shower Tuesday am.

Last proper rain we had was on May 19th

It's going to get even hotter next week.
I'm really going off this 'hot' weather as it is shit for getting any outdoor work done. I prefer if it is mild and dry.

No end in sight to the heatwave and August could be very hot indeed.

Yep. Anything above 25c is too hot for me, but i'll be sat outside in the shade enjoying plenty of cold beers this week that's for sure.

I'm struggling, I really can't stand the heat and in particular, bright sunlight. It hurts my eyes and my southern skin burns too easily. Dreading next Sunday when I steward Ride London in Richmond Park.

Not a drop of rain here in SW London since May.

I'm dreaming of misty frosty mornings, I do not like this shitty hot weather at all. And it doesn't look like it's going to stop anytime soon either.

Ugh.

Ok this is getting silly now.

Office attire has gone down to shorts and a short sleeve shirt. If this carries on much longer it's going to be a vest. It's stiffing in here, there's shit loads to do, the air is so still and I can't think.

I've adapted tbh - this just feels normal now - in fact it was only the other night I felt cold and looked at the clock it was 16.

Buzzing for Saturday, supposed to get some rain for the first time since the middle of May and should only feel about 20 degrees.

Just had the first rain here in SW London since the end of May. Temperature has dropped by a good 10 degrees, thank goodness.

I had visions of dying of heatstroke on Sunday whilst stewarding the Ride London. Instead it looks like I'll be getting rather wet. Oh well, I'll dry out.

I wouldn't be too confident from Mid-Late August :shut:

UK Outlook for Sunday 19 Aug 2018 to Sunday 2 Sep 2018:
To begin this period, some spells of rain are possible with rain expected to be heaviest in the northwest and the most prolonged dry and bright weather further south and east. It will still be warm occasionally in the south but generally temperatures are expected to be around normal. However, as we head through this period weather patterns are expected to become increasingly slow moving with longer spells of largely dry and fine weather inbetween any brief spells of rain. During these spells of largely dry and fine weather there is a chance of very warm or hot temperatures, especially across southern parts. During any very warm or hot spells there is also a risk of thunderstorms across the south.
