Midtable battle away at Colchester, all of our rested players are likely to return - A few of our players have had a bit of tightness in their muscles it seems. Not suprising given the amount of games as we all know.

Lee Angol and Ruel Sotiriou have been the the two main players affected by injury for us so far this season.

About time we got a decent result away at Bradford. Not sure what the score is with Bradford this season, but they have won 3 in 10 in the league, so this is as good a chance as any for us to win up there. Our manager is in a confident mood based on his last interview so hopefully we will come back with the points

We've expectedly been a pretty poor side this season. Back to back wins and scoring 10 past Southend and Tonbridge Angels seems to have given them a bit of much needed confidence but coming up against a good side in you today, will be the test of whether we've turned a corner or not. If you press us and force us to go long, its over for us as our strikers can neither run nor hold the ball up. We seem to be better against the sides who sit off us and allow us possession as our midfield is our best area by far. Nullify that and you'll win the game.

Huge 4 days for vale! 6 points and I think we can more than forgive last weekends result in the FA cup. Would be fantastic to go into the Newport game with a cushion to the sides around us but getting 3 points against Tranmere isn’t going to a straight forward task! Would love to see Askey make substitutions a bit earlier today! McKirdy was brilliant on Tuesday but he won’t be dropping Amoo or Worral so at least give the lad 25/30 minutes instead of 5/10 minutes! I am very open to Vale rotating the strikers because I think it offers a level of uncertainty to the opposition manager because he won’t know what to prepare for until the team sheets come out! We don’t have a clear starter up top in my eyes so why not, you have 4 very different styles to choose from!

Bit dissapointed with our starting 11. Oyeleke and McKirdy it could be argued are our most talented players along with Amoo, and they're both on the bench! Not sure about Pope over Cullen either. Especially at Vale Park.

That said, our bench includes Cullen, McKirdy, Oyeleke and Montano. If that's not one of the strongest benches today in League Two, then we're in some league! All four would be in my own best starting 11 if fit and available. Drives me crazy how good our bench is every week and yet Askey has no idea how to use it, and leaves his subs far too late game after game.

Barrow at home who I know very little about other than David Dunn. A quick look at their results suggests they love a draw.

We have injury problems so no idea what our team is going to look like. I’m going for a 1-0 win.
Barrow are shit mate you should thrash them easy.

Embleton has made some slightly odd choices in his selection today with Danny Johnson on the bench, playing Louis Dennis as a false nine again and playing Jordan Thomas further forward.

Not a huge fan of us playing Louis Dennis as a false nine, he's hit and miss up front enough as it is.

Rovers very stretched defensively with both our full-backs out so presumably Sid Nelson central defender at right-back and only one defender, the hapless George Ray on the bench. The only way we are going to win this is by being prolific up front.

Assume he is going with the same side to say “go out and make amends for last week” gamble though, if we lose Askey will be slaughtered like he was after Carlisle I guess!

To be fair, I'd rather Oyeleke isn't thrown straight back in even if we do need his quality in the middle of the park. And McKirdy starting means dropping Worrall which isn't going to open. Cullen or Pope is a close one and you can make arguments for both.

I still think we'd be a better side with Worrall playing as an attack minded central midfielder along with two from Joyce, Oyeleke, Conlon and Burgess, which would allow us a spot to play McKirdy or Monty as one of the front three.

Good to see Pope has had penalty duties taken off him now. About as stonewall a penalty as will ever see.

1-0, Conlon pen. Tranmere have started well to be fair to them and had plenty of the ball. But we don't normally show up in most games until the second half so it's no surprise!

Nowt to do with Clough, you defended how I expect us to! Walk through the defence with ease.

How have you turned Lapslie into Harry Kane?
