How have Cheltenham managed to take a free kick that was given for offside in our half? From that they got a corner and from the corner they got a penalty and scored it. 2-0 and I feel a bit hard done by.

Is that tongue in cheek? He’s gone down extremely easily and was never getting to the ball anyway!

Having seen a close up will take that back, Conlon certainly went looking for it.

A lot more goals in this anyway I feel based on this half. Been an enjoyable game.

How have you turned Lapslie into Harry Kane?
Was mansfields best player two weeks ago against us.....scored
He was 25/1 to score first today had a quid on him pay for a few bets that are losing at the moment

Incredibly poor from us today, but has to be said Cheltenham are (by some distance) the best team we’ve faced this season.

We started off slow but we've actually looked the better team for the first time this season. Typical we're not winning though.

Given the penalties we've given away in recent weeks I can't understand how Ryan Loft being dragged to the ground twice on separate corners isn't a penalty.

The free kicks for offsides get taken from the position the player receives the ball, not the position where he’s actually offside

Cheltenham look very strong and organised and well drilled. Not a huge threat going forward but took their chance well.

I was writing that the game was just opening up in first half injury time and today gives us hope for the second half and as I do, Jon goal machine Mellish gets one back and were in the game again.

Only thing that’s gone wrong in the first half for Mansfield is Maris injury, Ollie Clarke came on although he’s definitely not fit enough yet.

FGR actually started to do something in last minute or two, Stech made a good save to stop them getting one back.

Slow start by us and look laboured, Tranmere hit the bar all be it with a long ranger but then we got the penalty and have looked decent since.

Penalty I expected it to be given but need to see it back, looked clumsy and an obstruction but will take it after the shocker we didn’t get at their place a couple of years back!

Then stood stunned that we’d actually worked and done a training ground routine for a superb team goal from a corner. Very unlike us we’d usually launch it onto Monthe head! Cracking move and finish.

Tranmere look good on the ball but so far seem lacking up front. Still dangerous and work to be done. Our midfield seem to have finally got used to their diamond.

Next goal crucial I would say.

Very harsh on us to be 2-0 down at half time having hit the woodwork ,dominated possession and then conceding a penalty that never was. Good 2nd goal from Vale who look a threat on the rare occasions they venture forward and look comfortable at the back.

Tranmere fans saying on Twitter that they were all over us is a little amusing, started the half well but all half they were reduced to long range efforts (the first one was unlucky to hit the bar) but other than that they’ve had pointless possession, they certainly have a bit about them but Vale have taken there chances well! Penalty was a 10 out of 10 dive by Conlon. You win some and you lose some over the course of a season, we’ve had 3 harsh penalties given against us this season so it’s nice to see one go for us. Cracking training ground goal for the 2nd goal! I hope we don’t do what we did against Oldham in the second half now, an early goal needs to be avoided!

Barrow should have won every game they’ve played this season.

Ebou Adams with the shittest quick free kick you will see, which led straight to Mansfield's second goal.

Stags look by far the sharper side, deserve to be in front.

Why on earth would he go to ground in that position there? Need to weather the next 15 minutes or so and don't give them a sniff.

Haha step away from the keyboard for a bit mate. Don’t forget the dive which gave you the lead.

You’re making it out like the red is a tap on the back. He’s flown in studs up recklessly and it’s a red.

Joyce off, probably deservedly so. But Tranmere have come out with 12 men seeing as the ref might as well be wearing their kit. Literally giving them absolutely everything.

Only ourselves to blame though. We haven't turned up today. Tranmere are pretty shite. Spearing is stealing a living!

That was a pretty obvious foul for their goal. Guess things have evened themselves out. Going to be a long 30 minutes.

Right call to bring on Rodney here I reckon. Tranmere will push up further now so could be an opportunity on the break.
