PS. the remakes look pointless and shit.

Wow, this is never the sort of negativity I'd have expected from you, Jockney. I am shocked.

It doesn't look shit on its own terms but I otherwise stand by what I said. :lac:

Finished at long last. Really enjoyed this from start to finish. Port Royale was my least favourite world, kinda dull. Story was kinda ropey in places.

Yeah, I remember Port Royale not really having much going for it. It felt a bit shoehorned in just because POTC was big at the time.

Hmmm... maybe thinking Jockney was right and in fact, I am just an entitled millennial who has lost their sense of play as, despite finishing Crash 1 100%, I am now finding Crash 2 far more difficult than I remember it! Maybe I am just shit these days...

Playerunkown's Battlegrounds anyone?

Parachute in to a massive island with 90 odd people, try and find some weapons and be the last one standing as the map get's smaller. I loved the concept enough to buy it and try it on my ageing laptop with a dodgy mouse. I'm not very good.

So in my ongoing quest to complete them all I've just finished Assassins Creed: Unity which was average at best IMO.
Good map, great location, love the stealth improvements and I do like the overall upgraded game engine from AC: BF but to say it was the French Revolution I don't feel as if I was involved in it all as the player could be. Maybe I just didn't pay that much attention to it all but didn't particularly enjoy the story, I don't see how we got to this point and where we're going in Syndicate. We shall see. All just a bit "meh" for me.

Syndicate time.

Bloody hell, are you doing them all back to back? I know by the time I'm done with one game I can't stand the sight of another one for at least a year  They're good and all, but the prime example of a case where being a bigger game can be a very bad thing... there's so much pointless side-quest shit to bloat out the playtime.

Pretty much.

I'm in too deep. It's taking me a month or so per game mind so I'm not rattling through them that quick. I hear ya on the pointless crap, I only did the main missions on Unity, I think the whole game is only 39% completed and I've just finished the main bits so balls to that. I've opted out of going straight into Syndicate mind, I've got Horizon Zero Dawn so going to give that a bash when I get chance.

Tales from borderlands - just completed this for an easy platinum trophy. I had played borderlands so knew the lore of it but this was much more enjoyable and probably my second favourite telltale game that I have played

Until dawn - played the first chapter and I am already shitting it. I was relatively tough when it came to horror until I met my wife, she has converted me into a proper wuss

Agreed. Until Dawn is a very good game, fun and surprising. It was one of the first games I played on PS4, and is probably one of the better ones.

I'm playing Horizon Zero Dawn. I think it's alright. If they hadn't got the robo-dinosaur fighting so spot on, I don't think it would be playable. A lot of the exploration and interaction seems kind of half-baked to me. The fighting it really good fun though, you get pretty cool and varied scenarios just from the mechanics of the game and variation in the dinosaurs.

They've improved the controls for Crash 1, I heard!

Is it actually that hard or, indeed, has no-one has actually played a proper platformer for nearly 15 years? I've never had any problems with the Crash series and can whizz through them all in a day or two. Y'all need to stop bummin' them FPS's, or wanking, or whatever you usually do with your hands and get reacquainted with this wholesome genre.

PS. the remakes look pointless and shit.

Funny I've read this - this week I went to the National Videogame Arcade in Nottingham (recommend it btw) and they have all the old consoles and arcade machines of course etc... - now I went with work so we booked the place out and messed around with the older stuff mainly - the younger ones of us #humblebrag were generally terrible at the platformers compared to blokes who were around at the time of all these platformers (Mario, Sonic, Mega Man etc...). Just couldn't get to grips with the timing and jumps despite the fact you think playing a lot of twitch shooters would give you the reflexes required.

I'm only two years older than you, so am not of the 8 or 16-bit generation, really. I was raised on Tomb Raider, Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, 3D Mario, etc. I've never been into multiplayer (bar local MP, which doesn't exist anymore), beat 'em ups or sports games. When my mates were big into COD I was replaying old games; I didn't even purchase the better games of the PS3 catalogue until relatively near the end of its lifespan.

Like Bennite socialism, it seems as if, against the odds, my time has come again.

I'm playing Shadow of Memories. It is one of those games that I played as a kid and loved the atmosphere and feel of but could never progress very far into it.

I'm trying to learn how to play Hearts of Iron 4 and not get mullered all of the time... It's harder than it sounds.

Good luck with that, Jase!. I played the original Hearts of Iron (10-12 years ago?). But gave up (the world domination gene is eradicated in me because I was born in a democracy /s. Nah, seriously. It was a very complex game (already in the first edition). I liked more the "Panzer General" games from SSI (Strategic Simulations Inc., just in case you could misinterpret it due to the first two literals :D )

 cheers, I've mastered the Supreme Ruler series which is also Paradox, but this is on a whole other level. I was doing alright with the USSR, had most of Europe and then accidentally declared war on the UK, one of my allies (France, after I converted them to communism I think) decided declaring on them would be a good idea, I accidentally accepted their call to war with them and the rest of the allies... That didn't end well.

It's slowed down a bit for me as I've been busy. Slowly plodding along... just did some of the Mementos stuff and went to that art thing. It always takes me ages to finish most games (unless they're games I know I can finish in a day or two, in which case I'll blitz them) so baring in mind the fact that I see that people tend to say Persona 5 is a 100+ hour game I think I won't be done until like November...

Took me about 70-80 or so hours. That was without following a guide or anything to max all stats and confidante links though as I'll save that for a NG+
For someone new to the series who doesn't know some ways to make bosses easier and persona's a lot stronger through the skills gained in Fusions I'd probably add 10 or so hours onto that so maybe ~90 or so hours would be a good bet.

Finished Horizon. Fantastic game, really enjoyed the story. Gameplay was fun, especially the different strategies to take down machines. Only criticism is the variety of 1-2 of the side quests and the rewards for collectibles being underwhelming.

Playing Civ 5 at the moment. I had to drop down to Easy to give me some space to learn the Game. Wen't as the Arabians and I am absolutely rolling in money which is great.

I wish my laptop could handle Medieval total warfare really though. :(

Lisa Trevor. Bitch.

Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
Just reached the Invered Castle. Forgot how good the game's soundtrack was.

Final Fantasy XII
Just reached Garif village. Enjoying it a lot so far which is surprising since I wasn't keen on it when it first launched on PS2.

After getting Tales from the Borderlands and GoT on PS+ recently, I thought it was about time I started to play through some of these Telltale games... baring in mind the only ones I've done before were TWD seasons 1 and 2, and I fucking love them. Plus, randomly, episode 1 of The Wolf Among Us... though checking my save file, that was 2 years and 2 months ago, so yeah, I started again. 2 episodes in now and I wouldn't say it's as good as TWD, but it's still very good.

I thought Wolf Among Us was fantastic, much better than TWD, but then of course that's down to personal taste.

Never played a Telltale game before but I have d/l all PS+ Telltale games of the last months (Tales of the Borderlands, Game of Thrones) but not played yet. Still playing Life is strange and Until Dawn (the other PS+ games) and then Horizon Zero Dawn and still the Witcher3.
And in 2 weeks there's already 2 new ones...I can hardly keep up pace ;)
