Got what we deserved in the end there. We're decent enough but still too many errors and not really good enough to force our way through anyone half stubborn.

Tbf it's as expected really. We're decent enough, will probably be top 10 maybe top 7 at a push, which I'd be pretty happy with.

Cheltenham just that bit more solid then us, and punished our mistakes well.

As the scoreline suggests a thoroughly deserved and comprehensive win for ourselves, we looked dangerous in attack and for once looked solid for the majority of the game as a team.

We could've had a few more and even missed a penalty in the first minute which seems a long time ago now.

We looked like a team thats been together a few years, compared to Bolton who had injuries, picked up more injuries as the game went on and their backline put in a woeful first half performance which we capitalised on scoring two great free kicks.

Bolton played it around nicely, but had no bite up front and we kept forcing errors from their backline who at times didn't look confident playing out from the back.

10 points from the last 12 and a HUGE improvement from ourselves, particularly at the back. Since Tunji Akinola has been playing at right back, we've settled right down.

I see all the big boys of the league are in the top six now after 10 games.

Lost. Shock.

Felt for you today, had some talented youngsters but clearly not quite ready yet and too many of them in one side. Missing that experience. Sad to see another long standing EFL member struggling but you need bodies in big time with experience.

Some good stuff between both boxes but nothing up front and struggled defensively. Your players all seemed really short so Pope was always going to have a field day.

Thought Carlisle looked really good. Bossed the game in the midfield and their right winger on loan from Rovrum was quite a handful.

That being said we defended pretty well, Parkes having an outstanding game (just what Carlisle were expecting lol)... It wasn't pretty but we kept it together nice and tight. Toure needs to learn the professional game, you just can't make it that easy for the ref to get his cards out. It's a straight red all day and I imagine the manager will be having words with him after.

Good competitive game although more tense than dramatic. Carlisle will be up there come end of the season of they play like that every week.

We're probably a bit like you now, we like to be competitive and hover around at the top end of the table, but we never want to actually get promoted so we'll just self destruct on occasion.

Put Pope and Legge in Southend's team and they would be a mid-table side. I thought they played some nice football at times, just looked toothless up front and not the sort of team that will get many points once they go one down.

Football wise they were a lot better than Morecambe.

0-0 with Grimsby, obviously another game without a goal which is disappointing but I thought we played quite well today. Created plenty of chances and really should have won. If we create chances in a similar manner in future matches we'll start to pick up some wins. I hope we see more of the same moving forward, starting with Colchester on Tuesday.

Dinanga was impressive once again, as was Carter in midfield. Only the two changes ahead of this one, so hopefully Revell is beginning to settle on something so we can find a little more consistency.

I missed the start of Crawley v Cambridge so missed their goal after 3 minutes! Apparently they had a few good chances not long after that. I started watching and we grew into it. It was two good sides, causing each other problems but dealing with them. A good advert for league Two.

Watters 6th goal in 6 appearances (roughly 4 games in total minutes) was a nice piece of keep ball, left to right 30 yards out followed by two quick passes and Watters smacked it into the net. Our second (in the second half) 5'8 inch Tom Nichols out jumped the Cambridge defence from a corner. I have visions of the Cambridge manager kicking a Cat all around the dressing room! Probably followed by an even bigger Cat when they hit the bar from a yard out!

Our sending off was harsh but probably correct. If Hesketh had controlled it we had a break away but his second touch was a jump into the Cambridge player..

We hung on in there after that and got a good result but Cambridge will be cursing their luck for not getting something out of that game.

Well that defeat to Morecambe has seen off Jackson. Forever grateful for his work as an assistant the last few years but the step up to manager clearly not the right one. Wish him all the best.

Is that official? He got a fair shake but it doesn't look like he was going to make it happen with a decent squad.

For the opening 25 minutes we kept possession, passed the ball around well and got in behind Morecambe on numerous occasions. Here on in we stopped doing all the simple stuff well and let a depleted Morecambe side dictate the play. I think Morecambe will be surprised how easy we made it for them and they’ll have left Prenton park scratching their heads wondering how they never scored more. I think if Cole Stockton was playing for them today he may of walked off with the match ball, even wearring his boots on the wrong feet.

Yep it’s official. It just couldn’t go on like it was. I wouldn’t mind if we were battering teams and being incredibly unlucky to score in games but we were so so poor in all areas. Cambridge away we played well to draw 0-0 and probably the best performance under Jacko. Even the wins against Southend and Scunny were fortunate.

We've been good since I stopped watching on iFollow. The club has my season ticket money so not too fussed about not watching. It is torture watching regardless of how we are playing.

Disappointed not to come away with at least a point from that, had enough chances to win two games let alone one! Just wasn’t our day.
Give credit to Crawley who are a decent side especially in the final third with plenty of movement.

onto Salford.

Chipmunk’s Barrow promotion train is now back on track after being derailed for a few weeks.

Chipmunk’s Scott Quigley League 2 golden boot push still has a fair bit to go though.

Scott Quigley’s golden boot push would of been back on today had Barrow been playing us.

Feel a bit sorry for Jackson at Tranmere. It didn't appear the players had stopped playing for him but losing to the two sleeping pygmies of league 2 in succession as alway going to cause him problems.

He was absolutely hopeless for us, Quigley. Only started one or two games but never offered anything off the bench and often looked like a fan that had won a temporary contract in some sort of raffle, and Aspin had a duty to give him so many minutes.

Genuine question. Are Southend playing mainly players from the youth team and young first year pros? Reminds me of us (Orient) when we went down. You end up just ticking each game off as a defeat in your head before each match. The owner selling off all the experience pros in the process.

Didn’t watch today can’t bring myself to watch it anymore it’s genuinely depressing.
Vale fans are being too kind. We are fucking shit and it’s totally feasible to say we could go the whole season without winning we are an embarrassment at either end of the pitch, sometimes playing okay stuff in the middle without actually doing anything. This side is relegated in the conference next season

Good win today for us but not getting carried away as Bolton were utterly terrible. It was almost too comfortable

First five games I thought he was crap, until we realised he wasn't a target man and he dominated just about every defence we faced. He's been suspended and then injured, so only played about one and a bit games this season (I think). I'll stick my neck out and say he'll get 10-15 goals if he can get/stay fit.

See if you will come out with your wise words next Sunday

I haven’t got any wise words, but I’ve got one or two for you to gobble back up.

Playing a decent 11 and formation we have the best team in this league

Hahaha!

Bolton v Orient Bolton win joker

Haha! Whoopsiedoodle. Wasted your joker there, m8.

That midfield would comfortably be the best midfield in either lge 1 /2

Yeah, it’s fantastic m8. Pity that 38 year old Jobi MacAnuff ran rings round them, eh? That Darcy is mint, like you said. HAHAHAHAHA!

3 of those 110 coming our way this Saturday my owd marrow!

Four coming right back at ya! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Early days....Newport seem strong Forest Green Dark Horses. Cambridge who i think falter will be up there. Port Vale will improve, as wil Bolton and Salford....no sign of Orient

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Are Exeter losing yet

No. But you did. HAHAHAHAHA!

Well we go to the mighty Orient this afternoon.looks like 7/8 are starting to gel and we are now seeing signs of improvement week on week.We will gift them at least one maybe two goals, but this team are now capable of hitting Orient by 2/3 goals so i will go a hard thought 3-2 victory

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! 4-0.
