Very surprised at the 16 we sent there today and by all accounts sounded like we didnt need to get out of first gear. No injuries, another win.. and ended Wrexhams season, so not all bad.

We didn't quite end their season, they have the excitement of a relegation battle to look forward to...

It looks like we were the only NL team to bother keeping a clean sheet AND score today.
Chorley played well in their usual style of quick breaks with balls into the channels and players bombing forwards in support. They forced lots of corners but had no end product to worry us.
Their keeper made a superb finger tip save in the second half to push Prestons far post shot onto the crossbar after a fantastic team passing move from the Lions.
New center back Elliot Green looked solid along side Ash Palmer and the fringe players and injury returnees all did well and put in a good shift.
All in all a very positive day, our first away win since February and a run of six games unbeaten!

Alfreton 1-0 North Ferriby (Ryan Wilson 63)

The First half was dire. We marginally improved in the second half enjoying a decent 10 minute spell where Ryan Wilson scored a cracker from 25 yards before Clayton had a header cleared off the line a few minutes later. Ferriby looked awful and no better than a midtable Conference North side. They barely threatened at all until a couple of late header chances and a decent save from Spiess from Reece Thompson.

Awful attendance of 290 including 12 North Ferriby. Frankly I was surprised it was that much.
Job done and in to the next round.

Is the second round regionalised this year?

Drew 1-1 at Ebbsfleet which is better than I thought it was going to go. Probably a fair result. Neither side were impressive. I thought we were going to hold on. Ebbsfleet's equaliser was fortunate - the ball hit Joey Jones' face having come off the post and went in.

Difficult to see where all the money is being spent at Ebbsfleet, the construction of the new stand aside. They were very ordinary and I fancy our chances on Tuesday. Not sure why they were playing a 3-4-1-2 with Anthony Cook at wing back, he seemed wasted there. Danny Kedwell is massive. Must be carrying at least four stone.

Drew 1-1 at Witton, not sure how though as they battered us.

We weren't up for it at all, Chapell scored with a header (first time for eveything) and then Kane Richards stupidly got himself sent off in the last minute. Should only miss the replay in midweek though I think.

Got soaked walking back to the station as well, sigh.

Less than 500 home fans and got beat by the better team. I'm concerned about the rest of the season we need to beat Solihull next week to stop this awful home form, 4 defeats in a row and all awful performances.

Well done Worthing good luck.

Fantastic win for Matlock away at Solihull today. They wont fear anyone in the next round. Wouldnt mind a Derbyshire Derby in the next round but it will probably something uninspiring.

Bright for about twenty minutes at the start on a damp rainy day at TNL, then descended into our usual plenty of possession no cutting edge thing for most of the rest.. Truro mainly sat back and took it but were much more direct when they did get forward and had hit the post first half after one decent breakaway. Pitch got more waterlogged and the ball started holding up which I understand (was up the other end) had a big hand in Truro not snatching a winner at the death. We looked not arsed and they gave it a good go, fair play to them. Unfortunately I ought to be able to make the replay Tuesday.

Don't Dover hate everyone? Their manager and chairman seem to make a lot of enemies within football. Think the Press also find it difficult so it's not the most welcoming of places.
Away supporters have one hell of a hill to tackle.

Didn't need a replay (any idea when it's likely to be?), but sounded like we were making a lot of uncharacteristic efforts. Commentators did suggest the plastic pitch was possibly a factor, but accepted that Harrogate had been the better side after they got their first goal.
replay is on Tuesday - not ideal, but it's a rare (for this month) home game and it won't be on 3G - and Saturday's league opponents Boreham Wood have a replay as well

We've gone from being by far the best footballing side in this league with one hand on the title a few weeks ago to third and not even able to beat fucking Truro. We had our best team out as well. Tuesday should be fun.

Reading the circumstances, it appears that Shaw Lane have followed the rules to the letter and the expulsion is extremely harsh. It appears that the FA are at fault for not being thorough enough with player registration - do they not even ask for ID when processing a player registration?! You have to feel for them, I hope their appeal is successful.

Fa seem to have wanted to bury this asap letting the club take the blame for their poor administration process.

The appeal to be heard the day we are meant to play Nantwich! Ridiculous!

I hope I'm wrong, but I think it's gonna get worse unless we start playing in a way that matches the conditions. Yesterday was ridiculous.
