Significant late drop (-4) in the Labour vote for Ipsos Mori's final poll.

Landslide incoming?

yes. Revising my prediction to a Tory majority of 93.

So I wonder around the church to where there's a second polling station sign helpfully hidden from the main road. I walk up to this second building, where a smug looking bloke in a blue rosette pops up to bid me a passive aggressive 'good morning'.
I had this issue, started a chat with me... He didn't appreciate my views. :dk:

I saw two little old ladies, one with a blue rosette and one with a red rosette, sitting outside my local polling station and having a polite, dignified and well-meaning conversation.

It made me sick to my stomach.

Rain is generally bad for Labour and the Greens, I recall. Something about rain causing serious injury to students and young people.

Rather than teaching young people about their civic duty to vote, understand the world they live in and get involved, conservative media instead advocates the following:

THE big problem today, of course, is how to stop our kids voting. You just know they’ll do the wrong thing. Wander down to the polling booth with their scatty heads full of unicorn tears and marshmallows. And before you know it we’ll have given up Trident, disarmed the police and cut off relations with Israel. So the civic thing to do is to stop them voting.

Here are a few suggestions as to how:

1. Just don’t wake them up. Let them lie in and maybe bring them some breakfast at about nine tonight.

2. If it’s a boy, buy him a deluxe edition of the Grand Auto Warcraft Call Of Duty XIV video game and tell him if he reaches stage five by midnight he can borrow your car for a week. Obviously, renege on your promise if he manages it.

3. Introduce them to skunk. If they have already been introduced to skunk, introduce them to LSD. That should keep them occupied for the day.

4. Get together with the other local parents and set up a false polling station. Make sure you put all the kids’ votes in the recycling bin, and not with the food waste.

5. Tell them the election is tomorrow.

Hilarious. :fing:

Ah, in that case you might have to count me out.

You see, I don't drink.

They tweaked their methodology a bit, as did YouGov for their last poll. Some of the other final calls had a Labour up a few digits so I'm not sure we can read too much into this.

Props to Survation who have stuck with their model. They may get it horribly wrong but at least they can't be accused of bottling it.

Steven Fisher at Oxford has done research to say that the weatherdoes not effect on voting turnout, but how close the race is and how big the differences between the parties are siginificant.

No, but they can be considered completely shit in the future.

How contemptuous. He's always been a c***, mind. I mean, there are lots of awful hacks who give the impression that they just bash out bile to pay the bills but he's always appeared to be a genuinely really unpleasant person.

Who is planning to stay up and watch tonight? What media and what refreshments will you have?

I did till after 6am last time, but want to see what the exit poll says this time to decide whether it will be exciting or an anti-climax.

Will be watching BBC mostly on tv, though will occasionally switch to Sky to see how Rallings and Thrasher are doing. Plus have the ipad open switching through a load of sites.

Loads of chocolate, sweets and nuts laid up.

Rather than staying up all night, wouldn't you be better off getting up at like 4am when all the results actually come in?

Think I'll go to bed shortly after the exit poll this time...last three times I've stayed up have been miserable. Paxman is presenting Channel 4's coverage, might flick between him and Dimbleby for a few hours. Might take Veggie Legs' advice! What a sensible young man.
