Yeah. I recently bought my house without a mortgage. Needed a solicitors letter to prove I wasn’t laundering drugs money.

Thank God I’m a gun runner!
Yeah, I explained that I'm not some dodgy Mexican/Coumbian/Honduran drugs lord.

It's not necessarily that I have to submit what I have to, it's just that they never ask for stuff when they should. Could have all been sorted in our first meeting 3 weeks ago because they knew my circumstances before the meeting took place.

Going for a cystoscopy next Friday. Thought I just had a bladder infection.

Apparently not. My poor old jap’s eye!
Well, having something rammed down yer jap’s eye wasn’t that bad at all. All clear in the bladder and prostate department. Just a CT scan on me kidneys in a few weeks and I’m good to go.

NHS is fucking marvellous

Strange how pets really tug on the heart strings. I’ve had to take a fair few of mine to be Pts over the years. Blubb every time.

totally agree Dan & been in the same situation many times over the past 30 odd years. Our last dog Jack (14) was from Dogs Trust so he at least had a very good 10 years with us. Never again we said..........................then we were adopted by a couple of moggies. Love them to bits but can honestly say I'm dreading the future.

Sorry to hear that mate,a good age not that it makes you feel any better i know.

It wasn't a gradual decline and he didn't suffer too much, so that is some comfort, but the house will feel empty for a while.

Thanks for the message btw.

Yeah a family member wants another cat when we move house later this month, but I'm still not over losing the last one a year back tbh, and the thought of looking after one for upto 18 years or more isn't one I'm willing to think about just now. Never had a dog though, and I wouldn't mind a collie next maybe.

Maybe all these pets committed suicide cos their owners are so dreadful.

Don't worry about Carel, a cat once pissed on an art piece of his and he's held a grudge ever since.

Some of us may indeed be dreadful, but at least we don't come from Hull... :hypo:

Sorry to hear about your cat, Camborne.

Thanks Claret, it seems some people don't get the message, or are being weirdly ironic or something I don't get. :dk:

Nice to know that some OFFers care anyway.

I know it's still raw but have you thought about taking in another cat that someone has dumped on a charity? Plenty of cats are in need of a good home mate that's what i'll do when my cat Bessie is no longer with us but i know some people can't think of replacing their pet for some time after.
