Solicitors when trying to buy a house.

No sooner have you submitted what they requested, they then want further stuff off the back of it, despite, in hindsight, it forming part of what they'd require anyway. Instead of drip feeding me bits and pieces about what I need, just give me a list so I can send it all through.

They wanted proof of funds, which I've sent. And now they want proof of the where the funds for my proof of funds came from!
Still waiting to sign. Been about 9 weeks now.

My side is all done, as is their side with their mortgage all sorted, but the builder they're buying off are, for whatever reason, dragging their heels despite wanting everything tied up really quickly to get a deposit down, hence why I had to go in with a cash offer. The place is being built, it's not as if they aren't doing anything to it, so I'm not entirely sure what's difficult about getting a contract signed and them getting some money in to aid with cash flow etc.

The sellers told me last weekend when I went around that they're moving out end of March regardless of whether their new place is ready but I'd rather everyone signs a bit of paper before I started buying furniture. There's a difference between moving out while theirs is finished and moving out despite it falling through!

Yep same here. In fact we don't have any big clocks anywhere in the house. They are distracting also. I do have a clock radio in my room for getting me up but it's always turned away from my bed so I don't look at it at night.

The Morrisons Christmas advert with the slogan " Christmas, Morrisons makes it" How does a shit supermarket make my Christmas? Unless they drop off lots of free bottles of vodka or brandy to my front door then they are lying.

My birthday was earlier this month and my girlfriend bought me two tickets to City at Anfield. It was a really lovely, thoughtful present.

Its cost me £165 in train tickets - tickets with multiple changes and stupid times as its so late before the game and all decent tickets were probably booked up weeks ago. More importantly, she was worried they wouldn't arrive in time so I asked for a copy of the confirmation email and found out she paid £670 for them!

Spending this amount on my present is ridiculous enough. However, she stops working in February (baby coming in March) and is freelance so there is no maternity money coming in. We're also in the process of looking for a new place and I'm having to spend money on getting our current flat up to scratch before it goes up for sale.

Tickets arrived this morning and they are in L2 lower. Its about the shittest spot you can get in the stadium and probably cost a fifth of what shes paid for them.

I've had to come on here to whine about it as 1) She meant well and 2) I don't want to upset her while shes pregnant.

Thanks for listening.

I have had things rammed down my japs eye, told I may have prostate cancer and, as a last resort, I actually had a CT scan.

Its a fucking golf ball size kidney stone. Wish they had done it first. The consultant is amazed I haven't any symptoms (apart from a bit of blood in my piss).

Apparently after they have blasted the fucker they can take out the big bits but the smaller bits will pass naturally - like pissing razor blades so Im told.

The pathetic one-upmanship shite that goes on at schools between parents when dropping off and collecting their kids. Standing back and watching it go on is hilarious.

Don't feel guilty about it on the day mate, just enjoy it, and deal with any financial consequences down the line! Cut back on the heating in the house a bit for a while!

I always sing "Glaaaaaadstone Crooks" along with the jingle on the advert and feel smug about it.

Problem is, once you’ve had them there’s a 90% chance of getting them again with 10 years.

Certain things you can avoid - chocolate, coffee, fizzy drinks etc

You should have sold the tickets for more money and said to her that you appreciate the gift buy you'd rather spend time with her as it's not long before the baby comes and you won't get much time then.

Makes you look like a hero and you get your money back.

The stupid fucking bitch-c**t who nearly killed myself and my whole family tonight when she drove on the wrong side of the road, in what looked like an attempt to overtake someone. Had to slam the brakes on and drive onto the curb, which fortunately were slanted and not squared and even more fortunate there was a large grass verge. We're talking proper head on collision had I not reacted sharpish, my life flashed before my eyes and I had the two kids in the back. She fucked off sharpish. Still shaking now, nearly an hour later.

I did something similar a few years back on a b-road; and is the worst driving error I've ever done.

Was taking my sister home (and my mother came along for the run) when she lived out in the country some 20 miles from Dundee, and it was dark and I was right behind a bus; and I came to a bit in the road where there was one left turn and a right, then another left turn and a right before a long straight; and these turns were blind to the traffic coming from the other direction. The belter that I am thought I was on the second left and overtook the bus, when another bus came around the blind corner. I cut back in just in time after overtaking, getting a flash from both of the bus drivers, and quite rightly so; but after that, I've been careful about overtaking since! Would probably not be here if that bus hit. Doesn't bear thinking about.
