Indeed. Knew since mid-December that it'd go through but always that small element of doubt! The sellers were just keen to know where they were with their build i.e. if it was built earlier than end of March then they'd move out.

As it is, their house probably isn't going to be ready but they said they'd be out by end of March at the latest and they've stuck to it.

Getting a phone call today to tell me my final interview yesterday was successful and that I now have a new job around 3 miles from my house. After 17 years of either commuting to London or engineering in the field at 30,000 miles a year plus, being able to leave the house less than 10 minutes before I start work will be a wholly refreshing change. Not to mention the savings I will make in insurance now I don't have to pay for over 30,000 business miles a year.

Now I just have to convince my current employer that forcing me to work my one month notice period wouldn't be in anyone's interest.

Been trying to do the weeds all week, apart from yesterday when I had to go out and it was glorious (but windy), I've not had a chance as of the bastard rain. Can't even get a proper forecast on BBC's teletext now as we are in Arbroath and it only comes up with Dundee which seems to have different weather entirely from us!

had one for around 3-4 years until a few weeks ago and gave it to friends. Tbh I actually prefer the electric mower which we've had for over 10 years as I feel it gives a better cut and is easier and lighter to manoeuvre (the grass area is very large). However you're correct that a petrol one is better for when the grass aint fully dry. Having said that....you seen the price of petrol recently ?......
