We’ve looked far too frantic all game. Need to calm it down. Have to credit the pressing from Wednesday, they’ve been excellent at that. Dominated the midfield as a result.

High on energy, low on competence so far

Or to be blunt, running around like headless chickens kicking the ball aimlessly straight back to Burton or out of play. Both sides look awful.

Frustrating as we’ve defended solidly enough that Wednesday didn’t really look like scoring and then give away a ridiculous penalty like that. Not sure how he’s managed to handle it with no pressure near him!

Attacking wise though we’ve had a couple of chances we’ve been too messy on the ball. I’d change it up, feels like we are showing Wednesday far too much respect similar to the games early season rather than going at them which worked against Plymouth and Derby.

Get Butterworth on.

Deservedly 1-0 down at HT, shit defending from a set piece.

As you’d expect from a side making 8 changes, we look very disjointed - some of the players out there have barely had *any* first team minutes this season.

We’re not totally out of it, but are looking toothless from an attacking perspective.

Thats the biggest criticism I have about Clarke, he worries about the opposition rather than play his best X1 in their best positions and let the opposition worry about them.

In fairness first half they’ve had all the ball but not looked like scoring bar the gift we handed them wrapped with a bow but he’s played a 3 man midfield and we’ve hoofed it. Got to get at them a bit more I’m bored shitless. Rather have a go and lose 3-1 or something than this.

Bloody hate this kit! Think tonight is the last time we will have to wear it! We never do anything in it!

Probably look at some early changes. Funso on for Conlon and Butterworth for Garrity. Jones at LWB just hasn’t worked either.

We rarely beat the bigger teams under Clarke at this level. Talking of kits we have changed our shirts for the 2nd half

As predicted, the South Stand is indeed now singing that we're on our way to League Two. Given we can't score even against the weakest opposition (including tonight's) this is more than fair and probably accurate

Sammy Robinson been asking a few questions of them since coming on as well as winding up his Wednesday counterpart. Harrison missed an absolute sitter after being set up him.

Cracking hit, it’s Tom Conlons fault for giving it away cheaply. Think we’ve acquitted ourselves well second half but fair play you’re just better than us.

Completely thrown this away, should have been out of site but defensively atrocious.

If Burchnall is as much of a decent guy as he appears to be, perhaps he should do the honourable thing and resign, rather than waiting to be sacked. Seems DV is giving him enough rope to hang himself with...

Frustrating and flatters them but won’t lose sleep over this one. We’ve come a long way this year.

Congrats on the win to Wednesday. Think some of their work off the ball with their pressing was first class.

Think we can take encouragement from our second half performance where we looked threatening and should have scored a couple. Sammy Robinson when he came on contributed a lot to that. When he learns to do the simple stuff as well as the step overs etc he will be a very good player. Conlon and Garrity to me we need to look at them as they are starting to appear undroppable.

Not a great night for us results wise, definitely deserved the point and pleasing to come from behind twice.

Fascinating last few minutes and full time - Pompey players not wanting to get the ball in play and the home crowd making it known how unhappy they were about it. A point doesn't really do much for them, whilst for us it might be an important one come May.

A point keeps us ticking over nicely. Pompey will be nowhere near the top 6 based on that. Need a number 9 in January though

Well, we left out a bunch of our best players, and surprise surprise, we got nothing.

Once we made some attacking subs we looked a lot better up front but by then, Argyle could and did defend in numbers (as any team would). Frustrating.

Cheltenham are a bunch of right horrible fuckers aren’t they! It’s been years since I’ve seen shithousery like that.

We didn’t deserve to draw that game let alone lose. Much the better side. Why the ref has given Leahy a red card I don’t know! Hopefully we appeal that. Haven’t been that infuriated with a game in donkeys. How we’ve come away from Cambridge on Boxing Day and Cheltenham tonight without a singular point is madness. Should be looking at 6 points but instead have nowt.

Onto Fleetwood on NYD. Really can’t afford another slip up!

I thought we had problems… Until we just beat Charlton.

That first 30 minutes was a disgrace. I’d be furious as a Charlton supporter. That showing was as bad as I’ve seen in a long time from an away side. The ‘effort’ was non-existent. We are shit, but that’s a completely different level of ineptitude.

To be fair in typical Oxford United fashion we did our very best to mismanage the game. Josh Murphy going off at half time didn’t help though given the first half we went in at 2-0 it felt like a foregone conclusion. JM had a cracking first half and looked the best player on the pitch by a mile before he went off. He was the difference maker and we looked disjointed when he went off.

Charlton subs made a difference. Stockton was useless whereas Leaburn looked excellent when he came on. Rak-Sakyi has all the attributes to be unstoppable though lacking influence.

We aren’t exactly out of it ourselves yet based on that first half performance if Charlton don’t sort themselves out they’re in prime position to be sucked into a relegation fight.

I wasn't that surprised when Barnsley went back in front at the end. Reading between the lines they were the better team throughout, first time we have lost 2 on the bounce which definitely puts pressure on for New Year's Day fixture against Salop away. All of us are hoping for some transformative signings in January eh

Definitely a deserved point. A shame to give away two cheap goals though.

Just wish Plymouth and Sheffield Wednesday would just stop winning! (I’m sure they have been thinking the same of us recently).

I’m scared of ending in the play offs and being in a play off final against Barnsley, which leads to a revenge from them for the play off final in 2000 to the Prem. Of course it would be a Norwood winner too

Tonight was the most shithouse performance I think I've ever seen from us. We had one real chance and were lucky that we took it.

It was the epitome of a shithouse away performance, but 3 points are 3 points. That being said, I'm glad we don't see that every week.

Couldn't tell from Ifollow what Leahy was sent off for, I have no defence for Raglan - stupid, dangerous challenge.

Apparently Cotts is "done with Cheltenham"....
