Obviously Sparrow you've not had the pleasure of meeting Guiseley's pet lion who paraded around the stadium during the game.
A picture of the beast is shown on Steve's Avatar and I saw plenty of those at game taking photo's of them both.
Nothing kinky.

I actually feel for Guiseley. When I was checking twitter updates they sounded like they were playing brilliantly. Would have been a great result for yourselves had you got it.
But why were you checking their twitter updates when you constantly say you do not care about FGR's results.......? :dk:

No idea how we stole a point tonight.... Looked very tired. Credit to Gateshead though, they'll be gutted not to win! First time this season I've seen us out fought all over the pitch really. Hit the bar... Two off the line and a great stop by Dillo in goal only keeping them out.

Still shows how far we've come this year to be disappointed after 22 games unbeaten and a fourth clean sheet in a row. Finally a shout out to the 12 Gateshead fans.

Just scanning through our results I think we've had 6 late winners and 2 late equalisers this season so not too badly. But FGR have done it in 5 of their last 6 games which is incredible but also very frustrating for us!
Our game at Forest Green where we lost in the 93rd minute was also the latest that we've taken a lead in a game all season, but still only the 69th minute. From memory, the only two times we have scored in the last ten minutes of a game were when we were already 5-2 and 3-0 down!

Shame I couldn't make the rearranged game last night, I would have loved to have seen Steve's lion had a photo and given it a stroke. Maybe next time.

I follow all of the National League teams on Twitter so, as our game was bloody dire, I was checking through Twitter in general.

Totally agree with that, looked "leggy" and that's an understatement. Taking nothing away from Gateshead they put in one of the best 90 minutes shift I've seen this season. Fully deserving their place in the playoff places they are a strong side.
A lot of us felt this was a point won last night.
The other side of that is we got to the target I hoped for before Tranmere, 4 points from 6. Happy with that.
Again a big shout to the 12 who made the long journey on a cold Tuesday night.
They will shake a few sides before the season ends.

Alan young. Spent 5 minutes of the first half giving players talking to's. 12 yellows I think he ended up with, despite there being only 1 bad challenge in the whole game (late Peniket one). 3 bookings were for diving - not one dive. He made Braintree retake a free kick (not a quick one) because he felt he wasn't in the right position. Just a complete shambles.

Braintree were a good side to be fair. Not a play off side IMO but decent. We played ok, but 2 mistakes led to two goals. We should have had a peno and both sides missed 1 on 1's. Braintree deserved it and we'll move on to the next one.

Oh and Conf South fans: Have the Cowleys always been such bellends?
Yeah he's not good, did our game at home to Barrow and missed no end and gave them a very iffy penalty.

Lowest gate of the season by a long way tonight but the stayaways missed a decent game.

It was a bit of a strange game really as although Woking didn't play too badly we could have scored 6 or 7 and they could have been down to 9 men before half time. Nice early goal to settle us and then the ref missed a blatant handball on the line a minute before Woking equalised. Great to score almost immediately after though and Amonds 2nd goal (our 3rd) was worth the admission fee alone. Amond was also clearly pulled back when he would have been clean through on goal, another bizarre non-decision by the referee. All 3 officials were poor tonight especially the lino on the far side, who seemed to be making the rules up as he went along.

As I said earlier, I didn't think Woking played too badly at all and they all definitely put a decent shift in but obviously tired towards the end. Finally a mention for the 10 Woking fans there, respect to each and every one of them.

1,000 regulars staying away - only a couple of hundred will have paid on the night. IMHO that's reflection on the manager more than recent results. Even though he has said the "spoilt" fans comment was out of context. If that is the case then he needs to switch his brain on to choose the words he uses. The impression he gives is that being a play-off position is good enough, like a 0-0 home draw with a bottom 4 team is a point gained. Like when he said the home game against Cheltenham wasn't a 6 pointer. The fans would have more respect if he came out and said - "not good enough we need to graft and work harder" - "we are going out to win every game until the end of the season and see where we are then" - he needs to show some anger at poor performances and results and some passion and ambition...the fans are desperate for success and will back ambition alongside the quality we have, but not complacency and acceptance of mediocrity...

Big contrast between Hurst and Gary Johnson in this regard - even though we're 22 unbeaten and had won our last 6, GJ was openly critical of our performance against Gateshead and demands more from the team. I suspect Hurst would have reacted far differently given that he seemed content with a point at home to Boreham Wood.

I'm sorry, but there's no way this crossed the line. Ah well, wouldn't be right for a bad decision not to be made in a game where Brett Huxtable is involved. We've got that Alan Young tomorrow. :err:

Looks over the line to me. Look at the.No. 2 he's standing well behind the line.

I may be biased of course.

"That was over the line conclusively from where I'm standing." - Do love a bit of unbiased commentary.

I do like how on the Kiddie video they paused the frame before the ball had gone anywhere near the line. It travelled a bit further before it was cleared.

Although it wasn't over the line it's hard to get upset as it wouldn't have changed the result. Wrexham would have still won as we were that poor.

I think it says something that only Wrexham fans so far are calling it a goal. All of the ball, all of the line. Credit to Harrier94 for pragmatism, though I am sure if it was the first then anger would quicker to come!

Referee is in a terrible place to give it, lino has to have signalled surely, or the referee can't give it because he can't be sure. Classic case of all of the ball, all of the line, and it doesn't look like it to me (though the kiddy media team aren't helping things with their dodgy photo and video pause - would have been best to have the frame where the defender makes contact).
