Ljunberg was superb. Especially in 2001/02. Was just the man of the match in every major game in the league and cup.

The first thing(s) I think about when I think of Gazza are plastic boobs, dentist chairs, some chicken, lager and a fishing rod. How sad.

Gazza, absolute legend. Delightful player to watch. Only reason I didn't vote for him was because his best football was played outside of the Premier League.

Also, intrigued about who is THoD's number 2 now?

There's no doubt in my mind that Heskey deserves a place on this list but that someone ranked him as the best player of the Premier League era is slightly alarming.

I was the only person to vote for Wanchope? Are you serious?

That goal on his debut at Old Trafford was awesome!

I always forget Gazza played for Everton. You could tell he was great but was always injured/pissed and was surrounded by absolute shite

Gascoigne is one of only two players that I regret not having witnessed while he was playing before the booze was too hot to handle. He really looked like a brilliant player.
I actually rated Heskey when he signed for Liverpool. He was actually very good up front with Owen. The 2000/01 season is one of the my favourites of all-time and Heskey played a huge part in that. He then turned a bit sour but he's not that bad really.

We English like to laugh at Heskey and while he was not a great striker and had tendencies to be bit of a donkey, he was a great grafter and the perfect link up man, he brought the best out of Owen for both Liverpool and England.

Whilst I can think of a better goal against Man Utd off the top of my head:

I'm beginning to get the feeling Nobby won't be on this list.

He made my list...I think.

I would have been the four pointer, if he did. There's a better player beginning with K coming though, and I'm glad he's above Kanchelskis.

Another one I voted for, joy to watch. Also pretty sure I had that other K too Jimmy.

Kanchelskis was great. Incredible pace and good at getting in the box and finishing things off. Remember being really disappointed when he left for Italy.

I think that David Seaman may have made my list. I can't remember my list at all any more... but I have the feeling that he may be the first of mine to fall in this thing so far. Which, yes, means I went for all of the boring obvious players. No Derby players to see here, folks.

I could have gone down an ex-Argyle player route. Graced the list with the likes of Peter Halmosi, Akos Buzsaky, Joe Mason, Jason Puncheon, Jamie Mackie, Yannick Bolaise, Dan Gosling, Lillian Nalis, Micky Evans and others.
