Don't mind Joe Swash, he can be quite funny. But as JJH says, Laura Whitmore is the main attraction of the aftershow.

Off topic, but does anyone else see the resemblance between Joe Swash and Joe Garner?

Think the show was better was it was Caroline Flack and Russell Kane. Rob Beckett is just not funny at all.

87. Goodnight Sweetheart
Points: 30 | Lists: 2 | Number One's: 0 | 2013 Position: N/A | 2011 Position: N/A
Seasons: 6 | Episodes: 58
Goodnight Sweetheart is a British sitcom, which aired on BBC One from 1993 to 1999. Gary Sparrow (Nicholas Lyndhurst) is an accidental time traveller, who leads a double life after discovering a time portal allowing him to travel between the London of the 1990's and the same area during the Second World War.

Unfortunately there do not appear to be any short clips from the show, so you will have to make do with just the theme song.

Still in the late 80s? How long do these things take....

I reckon at this rate we will reach number one in mid September.

Is it like a UK version of Boardwalk Empire? If so, I'm in.

Quite enjoyed the first series despite some dodgy accents and one or two "that wouldn't happen" moments.

Will get round to the second at some point.

84. Castle
Points: 31 | Lists: 2 | Number One's: 0 | 2013 Position: N/A | 2011 Position: N/A
Seasons: 7 | Episodes: 151

Castle is an American crime drama series, that despite starting in 2009 makes its first ever appearance in the Top TV Shows feature. The series follows Richard Castle, a best-selling mystery novelist, and Kate Beckett, an NYPD homicide detective, as they solve various unusual crimes in New York City.

It almost sounds like an American version of Jonathan Creek

First of my 14 in the top 100.

American version of Jonathan Creek is a very good description of it actually. Though they are quite different, I would say Castle has a more overarching story than JC, but Creek has more interesting crimes and conclusions.

I don't have Sky, I'd never pay for it as I can't stand Murdoch and everything he stands for. I've never watched, and in some cases never heard of many of the programmes mentioned.

Still waiting for the last one on my list which is a BBC/Dave production.

Oz, Masters of Horror and Spartacus were all on my list. Didn't expect much from Masters of Horror but surprised to see the other two didn't make the top 100.
Oz would have been on mine Craig, had I not totally forgotten it. 100x>Prison Break.

Fucking great show.

Still can't believe 2 of my early fallers only made my list. Makes me sad to think that many of you won't have seen either of these...

http://www.wildfilmhistory.org/film/124/Ice,+Wind+and+Fire.html

Stood the test of time, and although made nearly 35 years ago, it's still stunningly beautiful and haunting. I love NH programmes and although this didnt have the technology available at the time, such as Planet Earth etc has had, it's still my favourite show in that genre.

http://m.imdb.com/title/tt0318883/

A heartwarming tale of a small American town starring Treat Williams, and the unknown at the time Emily Van-Camp, Gregory Smith and Chris Pratt.
Think Brothers and Sisters and you won't be far off.(Although this is far superior) I don't watch many shows of this ilk, but this gripped me. A beautiful story, in a beautiful place, about the Town of Everwood, and the coming of age of the 3 young protagonists.

Just reading back through as I haven't checked in here for ages..... and.....

Deadwood..... I was the only person to vote for it. That surprises me greatly. A fantastic TV show, that deserved more.

A great shout from someone else earlier on that I've just noticed 'Dave Gorman's Modern Life Is Goodish'.

Wouldn't have made my list but I found it hilarious at times. Some real laugh out loud moments if you like Gorman's style of comedy, which I do. I'm interested in knowing who had that on their list.

Also, great shout from Cardsfan, Lès Revenants.

Would easily have been in my top 10. Gutted that I forgot it. The American adaptation simply called 'The Returned' hasn't been a patch on the original.

Good news anyway Cards...

82. Borgen (The Castle)
Points: 32 | Lists: 2 | Number One's: 0 | 2013 Position: 101st | 2011 Position: N/A
Seasons: 3 | Episodes: 30

Borgen is a Danish one hour political drama. It tells the story of charismatic politican Birgitte Nyborg who unexpectedly becomes the first female Prime Minister of Denmark.

Three seasons were produced, before the series came to (what I believe was) a natural conclusion. Although announced back in 2013, HBO and BBC Worldwide are still expected to produce a US remake of the show.

81. Coronation Street
Points: 32 | Lists: 3 | Number One's: 0 | 2013 Position: 233rd | 2011 Position: 161st
Seasons: N/A | Episodes: 8,676

Informally know as Corrie, this British programme is the longest running soap opera in the world having started on ITV in 1960. The programme centres on Coronation Street in Weatherfield, a ficitional area in Greater Manchester.

After an initial rejection by ITV, the show was later given a 13 episode pilot run. Within six months, it had become the most watched programme on British television and is now a significant part of British culture.

The show is now a big money earner for Granada and ITV, as it is shown worldwide to over 40 countries.
