Matt Green - 15

He isn't able to walk on water as some of our fans believe but he is a huge upgrade on last year. And by that I mean I have seen him intentionally strike the ball at a specific piece of the goal and it worked.

I hope to see Luke Berry hit 15 from midfield this season. Barry Corr will most likely to be our top scorer, though.

It's been too long since we had someone 'prolific.'

Based on our luck with strikers (big reputation or not), I suspect Lukey as top scorer with 15 is not a bad guess. I'm hoping that rest of our Irish contingent catch fire and last the pace. The fourth Corr may be bookies favourite but our top scorer may not yet be in the building or at the very least not on the radar of most oppositions.

Reuben Reid has finished with over 15 for both of the last two seasons, 20 in all competitions but I can't see him doing as well this season, 13 in League 2 and 17 in all competitions

Barry Corr - 13

I think Luke will get a few but not 15! I'm not sure any midfielders managed that in league 2 last year? 7 or so would be my guess.

Have you had a mental block?

RAK your brain and think....

Nope , I know what I'm doing.... obviously other teams will have at least 4 marking him if not more , then young Scotty will just fill his boots !!

Honest guesses only please, don't just put 20 goals because you reckon 'he could pull it off', and please keep guesses for Bingham to below 100 goals for the sake of the game. Feel free to also put why you think he'll get that many if you're feeling particularly adventurous...

Whether Bingham gets over 100 really depends on whether or not he leaves for Real Madrid in January... if he does only spend half a season in League 2 then I can see him only getting about 80.

Ibehre - 9 (yeah I'm massively optimistic, though I do think our goals will be spread a bit among Ibehre, Wyke, Rigg, Asamoah and Dempsey... I reckon all of those will score 6 or more goals, Ibehre maybe increasing his total through penalties)

Yeah I'm sort of assuming Ibehre is pretty consistent with penalties, he seems like the type of guy who would be.

RavenBish should lock this thread. It's 5th July lads. Take a long look at yourselves before trying to actually guess who'll finish as top scorer for the season with over a month till the first game.

Yes, surely our guesses will be a lot more accurate if we wait until the season ends :pond:

Billy Paynter 14. That's my opening bid.

Rakish will get more but I'm not setting a target.

Fenwick, 13.

Cooper 8.

Unless we sign CMS I really don't know and it's a huge question mark in my mind hanging over this team, someone needs to step up or we need to bring someone in.

Of the current players id say probably McQuoid but I saw him play a number of times when he was at Bournemouth and he never remotely impressed me, had a brief purple patch of form and left.

If we don't sign CMS it wouldn't surprise me if its some loanee we bring in who scores 10 or 11 but I'm not confident we have addressed our lack of goals from last season yet and it's stopping me from being overly bullish about our chances.

A tad concerned too. Don't think Still has an ace up his sleeve? If not he must be pretty confident he will. Cover isn't looking too clever yet either, even if he does sign and gets crocked.

Seems his eggs are in the basket whatever so must have belief in McQuoid and Marriott.

If he actually stays fit, Jay Simpson is capable of at least 15 goals at this level. But he is always injured.

Kemar Roofe scored 5 times in 6 games for us whilst on loan at the end of last season.

We now have him permanent.

30 goals at least.

After scoring 5 in 7 for us at the end of 13/14 I thought Danny Hollands would score at least 10 season just gone.

He scored 1.

Wasn't he proclaimed to be the best midfielder in L2, this time last year?

No, you're thinking of Andy Drury. £100K, wasn't it?
Think you'll find that Matt Grimes was the best midfielder in L2 last year.

£1.75m and some premiership appearances since then says so.
