Myself and a Spurs supporting friend were watching this and the Liverpool game at the same time. You just knew Spurs would end up conceding after all the chances they missed, in particular Mr August Kane. I thought my mate was going to smash the TV up when Lloris was beaten. :bg:

Wembley. Big issues for Spurs this season.

I think people are putting way too much emphasis on Wembley.
Spurs started the last 2 seasons slowly, thats why they played catch up to the leaders without ever wrestling top spot away. Thats why Kane is Mr August. This is not a new thing due to the stadium theyre in. Theres something thats causing them to have slow starts and theyre not addressing it.

It might be being overstated slightly but I do think it'll be a factor this season. Spurs really turned WHL into a fortress over the past few seasons and I haven't looked forward to us going there since Pochettino took over, but I'm really looking forward to playing them in a one off game at Wembley and I suspect every other club is too.

I don't think so.

They were unbeaten at White Heart Lane last season, their 2nd place was basically cemented on their home form. They have yet to win at "home" this season, and have already lost. I'm going to stick my neck out and say they would have won comfortably yesterday had it been at WHL. It was painful to watch them trying to bag that 2nd, it was almost inevitable that Burnley would equalise. I'm unsure how you can say too much emphasis is being put in Wembley, they struggle to get results there.

I expect things to improve as they play there more and more, but it will never be like WHL, and they will therefore struggle to bag another top 4 spot for me given the importance of their home form.

Years ago it did but you get used to it and make the most out of it.

It's good to see we're still keeping up the "Spurs are shit at Wembley" thing going around. Played 2 Lost 1 Drawn 1 and probably been the better team in both games, just doing what we did so many times in the past few seasons and struggled to put the ball in the net or trouble the keeper. We then tend to go on a run of games where every shot finds the corner of the goal.

1-1 and in need of a goal and Poch brings on Sanchez instead of Janssen, that was a strange one too.

Now for Kane or Dele to get injured for England!

Davison Sanchez would probably do better up top than Janssen would to be honest

I realise the other games were cup finals and semis etc, but isn't your overall record at the new Wembley after yesterday more like played 12, winning twice and losing 8? As said, I realise the cup games have a different outlook and would have been against generally better opppsition but it all adds up in the players heads.

There is even more pressure in that Dortmund game in a few weeks time after yesterday.

I work with loads of scousers and whilst they were rubbing it in my face regarding the Liverpool score we could at least be on the same page in enjoying a nice chuckle over the late Burnley goal.

Who would have predicted the wembley woes for Tottenham, eh?

Long may they continue...

Why would they rub it in your face about the Liverpool score? You're a ManU fan and you're topodaleague!

Because I want Liverpool to lose every game and I get pissed off when they win. I would have thought that was obvious...

So your team wins 3 out of 3, is top of the league; yet you get pissed off when Liverpool win also! Blimey that's hardcore.
