The Grimsby lad would be saying groundsman had the hoses on if it was at Mansfield.

Does the Tranmere groundsman know how to use a hose.

Seems a bit ludicrous the game being called off because of a waterlogged pitch after the recent dry spell. Especially for this time of year. Then again I’m not based in Birkenhead!

Flash flooding? If the ground is dry then any rain on it won't soak in so quickly.

Of course this shouldn't be a problem with a football pitch which gets watered constantly and should never dry out. As we found out at Sincil Bank earlier this season, hoofball merchants are particularly keen to keep the pitch wet and might even burst into tears if it isn't properly watered.

Actually not the worst thing for us as we can now rest the best 11 if results don’t go our way today.

Surprised it’s been called off considering how massive Tranmere are.
Wasn’t aware being massive made us immune to a storm on the coast. Have to consult Mansfield’s meteorologist department in their head office for confirmation.

It helps our quick passing on the deck Shoddy, tbh I didn't think Carlisle hoofed it that much.

The biggest problem was the impending liquidation of Bury.

So Bury can go up on Tuesday with a draw. We can go up automatically if we beat Bury and win at Crawley, providing MK V Mansfield is a draw. MK are imploding and Mansfield bottled it today, so draw doesn't look too unlikely.

Also if we win our last two games and Bury lose to Port Vale, we go above them.
If we win 5-0 against Bury on Tuesday and beat Crawley, then a draw for Port Vale on the last day will see us promoted

Great manoeuvre by the groundsman to leave the hose pipe running overnight to get the game postponed ,so as to see how results go today to see if it’s worth bothering playing a strong team against the empty pocket shakers on Tuesday night.

It certainly has. In a way the game being off yesterday has worked in both teams favour given yesterday results. What will be interesting how is to see how Bury play it. Do they go for it or have a more defensive approach knowing a draw will do the job. Its going to be a tense evening that`s for sure.

Really want Bury to get a result from this now. Can't have Tranmere finishing higher then 5th, need to be playing them in the playoffs to give ourselves a bye to Wembley.

Come on you Shakers, these are average at best.

Did you stick around for that fantastic finish at Crewe yesterday? Sounded like a great game.

Yep.

Wouldn't describe it as a fantastic finish tbh. More like a spectacular clusterfuck bottle job finish, but there you go. Tbf Crewe were quality though, they would have wiped the floor with a lesser team such as yourselves yesterday imo. We did well to push them close.

Like FGR we drew on aggregate with Crewe over the two fixtures, so hardly a lesser team.
