Grabban to West brom would be crackers/hilarious.

Conflicting reports about whether we are considering any further bid for Gray or have walked away.

So basically no one has a clue except Howe.

FFP clearly has no legs so why we're not going in for anyone is beyond me!! Best position in a decade and we're going to throw it away because of a small squad :(

Give me a small but well drilled and well managed squad any day.

We had 7 registered players at our first game of the season. We've gone through over 50 all together. Who cares.

We've just got someone called Harry Wilson, sounds like someone from TOWIE.

Cardiff want £5m for Noone so no chance of that going any further.

If you'd watched Saturday, it proves that we need Murphy, a long term injury will end our automatic promotion push. We just need some better cover up front so we can go back to 4-3-3 like during our good run

Well we've walked away from any Gray deal and will keep the dosh :)

A good sensible loan ala Ibe at Derby would do the job, when the loan window opens shortly.

Burnley and Forest in talks over Henry Lansbury apparently. Who would be a Forest fan right now?

Apparently one more bid for Gray could be going in, interesting to see if Birmingham were willing to sell just pushing the price as high as possible.

Either way it's a novelty not to be worrying about losing players on deadline day

Two in- David Edgar and Ishmael Miller (woohoo)
And ELEVEN out. I have no idea. I think Powell is trying to eliminate his subs problem by not having anyone on the bench at all.

Who are the 11? Christ. What about Joe Lolley?

Wolves have cancelled Roger Johnson's contract, mutual termination I believe. He seems to be off to Charlton.

Hamilton and the SPL's top scorer, French striker Anthony Andreu, is taking a medical at Norwich.

Hull City have loaned Tom Ince to Derby County. I have no idea why.

Ibe gone back to Liverpool, Russell out for 6 weeks. Only really have two proper wingers fit in Dawkins and Ward, and neither are that great. Need someone for competition.

Yeah I can understand the benefit from a Derby point of view but Hull surely could need his pace. Or something.

They wanted people in before he went, but they haven't got anyone and he has still gone. They have lots of injuries too at the moment. I can understand where you are coming from, why let go when he could be useful?

Ince should start everygame for you. Get him confident and he'll tear this league apart again.

Danny Ward
Adam Hammill
Grant Holt
Paul Dixon
Daniel Carr
Martin Paterson
Lee Peltier
Matt Crooks
Jordan Sinnott
Ben Holmes
Jon Stead

3 or 4 development players in there tbf.

Lolley said on Twitter today that he wants to stay and prove himself so I'm assuming he's turned down the offer of a loan, and I'm glad he has.

Very happy with our dealings in the last few hours, an area which needed strengthening and Chris Evans, Sam Rush and Mac have come up with the goods again.

Nice to see we stood firm against the bully boy giants of the South Coast, Bournemouth :tw: (though personally i'd have ripped their hands off at £5m for Gray)...the best piece of news I've heard though is that England starlet Woge has freed himself of the tyranny of the scrap metal mongers, surely the big hitters will be queuing up with untold riches to land him now? Chelsea, Man City, Barca, Bournemouth....

Good luck Woge, you've earn't this.

I'm more than happy with our transfer dealings this window. It's been one of our best for a number of years. I hope that these new signings don't disrupt what we have like it did when Davies was in charge.

Well in December our aim for January was to keep Artur Boruc for the season, and we did that immediately.

Otherwise we've kept our best players and extended a couple of important contracts. We didn't strengthen further though.

On the plus side we do have two players just now back from long periods out in Elliott Ward and TK Rantie. Ward knows how to get out of this division and will give us a boost at the back. Rantie is the unpredictable whirlwind of chaos to throw on.

And I'm personally somewhat relieved that we didn't spend any silly money, we've gotten this far on a core of players and there's no reason to throw that cohesion away chasing one expensive individual.

I'd like to see a new face in on loan when the loan window opens in a couple of weeks, if that's possible. Chances are there's going to be a talented Premiership player who's just fallen down the pecking order at his club because of a January arrival, who we could give some game time and purpose to.

On the Derby forum they've quoted some things Bournemouth have said over on theres. Apparently we're buying success.....this from fans of the club who tried to spend £5m on one player :fl:

I don't think anyone in this division is buying success. We realise the position we are in and have made some shrewd signings to hopefully push us on after losing players to their parent clubs and injuries.

There's alot of big money wasted in this division though, I'm sure the majority of Bournemouth fans are glad the Gray transfer didn't go through for that sort of price. The same reason I'm glad we didn't "smash our transfer record" as it seemed we would do this window.
