I still do. Benteke didn't fit into Liverpool's system. Neither would Lukaku, if Benteke were at Everton the past few seasons he'd have done similar/better imo.

Yep absolutely. Good with his feet and head. The problem we never sorted out though was that we lumped the ball up to his chest all the time which slowed him and the side down. He just didn't fit the system, like with Carroll; both players I like and thought could've been effective, but wasted at Liverpool.

Speaking selfishly I'm not sure where I'd prefer Lukaku to head to! If Chelsea don't get him and Conte flies off the handle and potentially leaves, then superb; but it would be quality if he looked on his way to you guys and at the last minute went back to Chelsea leaving Mourinho red-faced.

If Chelsea want him that much, an extra £10m on the fee to Everton and an extra £50k a week in wages to Lukaku could swing it, even at this late stage. Especially now Rooney has already signed. Can't see it happening though.
