On last year's form he's worth it alright. Watched him plenty and he was very impressive. Potentially makes us even more potent upfront. I seen Rodriguez and a few other people are on the move this summer, how they get pulled apart every year and still perform in the prem is amazing

I hadn't heard that. As I said at the time of the original bid I think he'd be an excellent signing for you. Do you think Southampton will play ball, though, after all the fuss with the tapping up?

I just think his position has possibly become untenable and that he has his heart set on moving and a deal will be done somehow. I think it will drag on and Soton are well within their rights to make it as hard as possible, and I believe he is on a 5 year contract there making them have a strong position on it and they'll force the price up as high as they can; but Klopp sees him and possibly Keita as his main targets this season and I think it will eventually happen. They'll probably go in for other targets after signing Salah in the meantime, then focus on VvD and start putting official bids in. He may very well ask for a transfer request too, we'll see.

Huddersfield are said to have made a 13M€ offer for Montpellier's Steve Mounié. Young striker who had his 1st season in 16/17 and finished 7th in the goalscoring rank, a very promising opening season indeed. Montpellier can't really afford to turn that kind of money down and it's not much for what Huddersfield are getting from tv money in the Prem so I reckon it's a done deal.

Solid business by the promoted side if confirmed. From what I saw last season, they need some kind of power and invention up front.
