Looks like we're going to lose Elliot Frear to Cheltenham, fee involved apparently. Gutted.

Edit. Looks like the fee was too high, deal off. Buzzing.

Up there with McNulty as one of the most overrated players in the division. A classic Non-League floaty winger. Never seen him have more than a 6/10.

Beware Chris, his head has now been turned. He'll be the Berahino of the National League.

If he does that shit it will be very uncomfortable for him... Strouds a small place. I don't think frears like that anyway.

Seen Frear loads of times, yeah?
He was one of the only players that turned up for FGR at our place last season.

Frear's never impressed me, but to say McFatty is overrated is just being daft. Walks (wobbles) into any team in this league.

Fylde have released former Hereford defender Dominic Collins. Could do a job for somebody at this level.

Some ins and outs expected at SB this week, probably Craig Stanley, Howe, Hodge or Simmons, even McCombe most likely leaving? Looks like a CM is fairly certain to be unveiled shortly.

He's not had a great start but I'd be stunned if he let McCombe go. Howe can leave, never really rated him as high as everyone else.

It'll be a couple of the first four I think.

I think a new CM will push Power down to 4th choice.

Rumours have surfaced that we're now in for Frear. Can't see it, especially if Cheltenham couldn't meet FGR's demands.

We've bid 15k for him according to an article. Really don't think we need him.

I agree. It's not going to happen, so we needn't ask too many questions. Probably just his agent playing games.
Been told however that we will be signing a 21 year old left back from a Championship club on loan.

Fuck off Tranmere. Ells is going nowhere.

Not sure why the Citizen keep trying to link him to an exit, Coops wasn't happy at all and refused to speak to them on Saturday.

Slightly off topic but it no doubt will and has helped get some new players in, our latest Crowdfunder finished this morning. A total of £52,522 between the supporters and one director matching the amount has been raised over the last few weeks. I know it's not in the same monetary realms of the FGR or the Easleighs of this world budget wise but every little helps. We do have some great fans and they have once again dipped into their pockets to help the Cowleys war chest

(Just waiting for the Cods to appear again mocking the amount compared to what they raised last year)

Power looks very outclassed by Woodyard, I'd be very surprised if he wasn't one of the players to leave.
He isn't good enough for a team wanting to be in the football league next season and certainly isn't football league standard player.
He's coasted through the last 3 seasons as he's clearly been teacher's pet (Moyses) and could do no wrong.
Now we've got rid of all that coaching staff his time here must be over.

I think there's the offline pledges to be added as well.

Fair play, I think it's great when fans club together like this.

Good to see our Chairman putting all these Elliot Frear rumours to bed. Not sure why Cheltenham/The Citizen are trying to destabilise us.

Forest Green Rovers chairman Dale Vince has criticised a series of false stories in Gloucestershire Echo/Citizen newspapers which claimed Elliot Frear had been the subject transfer offers from Cheltenham Town and Tranmere Rovers.

The stories even claimed "the 25-year-old was close to joining" Cheltenham Town but that negotiations fell through at the last minute.

Vince said: “Forest Green have had no contact from either club, let alone any transfer offers or negotiations. The stories are pure fiction.

“We're not sure why Cheltenham Town would claim to have been close to a deal for Elliott, when they haven’t even spoken to us, it's bizarre – perhaps it's a distraction from their own season, being currently without a league win.

“It's the same with Tranmere, though at least they don't claim to have been in a negotiation – we’ve had no approach from them at all.

“The Gloucestershire Echo/Citizen seems keen to run these stories, without checking the facts with us first – despite us asking that they do so, after the first false story appeared – they seem more interested in creating headlines than reporting the truth.

“Hopefully that's the silly season over and CTFC and the Citizen will stop this nonsense now, and let our player concentrate on his football.”

Nothing like taking the moral high ground. You stay classy Dale Vince.

Must admit, even allowing for the fact that he's at least two stone overweight, which astonishes me, simply don't know how managers allow him to be in that shape, he is the best reader of the game in the league and in the air, almost peerless. But have to also say, if players run at him, as our forwards did last year, you can rip him apart. But would love Mcfatty in the heart of our defence
