I'd be underwhelmed if Rowe comes in, although I'm basing that on quite limited viewing over the years. He's basically a left footed Muldoon.

Last season, he'd be good enough to come in and add something, but not this season IMO.

There's a way to be less underwhelmed with Danny Rowe. Sign the one that's hit 32 goals this season.

I really can't see Disley moving. He's settled in Market Rasen with his family, so if he were to move surely it would be somewhere local (never going to be us).

Our rumour mill is in full flow, which is completely the opposite of the summer. Names linked are:

Rowe (Macc), Turgott (Bromley), Akinola (Braintree), Fry (York), Isaac (Braintree).

Can't see Fry because we don't need a CB, unless he can cover both full back positions, but Isaac seems to be the one that offers that versatility we need being able to play in CM or either full back position.

Not sure we'll see the first two, but Akinola has an air of inevitability about it. Whether that's in January or the summer, who knows.

We're waiting until the January transfer window opens before we sign a keeper - why would that be? Does that mean we've got our eyes set on a keeper that has moved too many times in the past 12 months, or somebody at a League side whose current club are waiting to be able to replace him?

If it was just a youth keeper we were after, we could/would have signed him by now.

From what I saw of him last season Akinola looks the sort of player that could be the difference between winning the league and settling for the play offs.
Cowley's biggest mistake last season was taking him off in the play off second leg hoping to play out a 0 - 0 because it meant Braintree had no outlet whatsoever and so the pressure we put on them eventually told.
Had he still been on the pitch it might have been so different.

I'd be gobsmacked if Cowley let Howe go now based on his performances since he returned from Southport, even if he is 3rd choice behind Raggett and Waterfall. Could've seen it happening a few weeks ago, though.
