January is a damage limitation month for us, just be happy to keep as many together as we can.

Looks like Aston Villa are leading the chase for Sam Hughes at the moment.

From a quick interview that DC did yesterday, it seems we're currently in for 4 players - 2 on loan and 2 permanent.

We've not replaced Beevers squad place or recently recalled Anderson yet, so it'll effectively work out at bringing a further two in, in terms of numbers. That said, he seemed to make a point about a striker leading the line so that suggests to me that Theo Robinson is off when his short term deal expires, which means only one more, numbers wise.

Even without replacing players, we need another couple of bodies in so it looks like we could be signing up to 5. Luckily, replacing Beevers was pretty straight forward with Wood but Anderson will be trickier. Robinson, if he leaves, wouldn't do *that* much damage providing we replace his pace and work rate.

Might get a bit more info this afternoon when he does his press conference.

He was off to Notts County anyway, so it's a duff rumour (despite Barry Fry saying he wasn't going out on loan again!).

I wouldn't trust Fry any further than I could throw him, and given his not insignificant weight, that's not very far at all.

Every teams ends up with a player on trial with a funny name. Well, we have two. First Johan ter Horst, and now striker Erwin Senakuku Mukelepu. Both been training with us and a decision made on them in the next couple of days.

Might have a new player in for Guiseley. Signings to be a mixture of loans, permanent and loan with view to a permanent.

Not in our squad today and seemingly a done deal. With confidence there's a dangerous player in there.

Imagine it'll be confirmed early this week. Whether they've paid us anything is a different matter though..

He's always looked on the edge of being a good player even when he was with us but he's just never managed to reach his potential.

Also just heard a rumour that a southport player turned us down today as he lives within a stones throw of the ground and didnt want to relocate (all of an hour down the road). Any idea port fans?

Brodie lives in Southport, his missus works behind our club bar, and he is often seen in there, and yes, he was in the bar today. I heard he was suspended today too, and given that they've got a baby Macc have probably given him the day off. Andy Wright also popped into our bar today, it doesn't mean he's signing for either us or Wrexham though.

Rumour at our end is that Southport have found £20k stuffed down the back of the sofa and had a bid for Lloyd accepted by Vale.

A few sponsorship deals are gonna get them into the Football League? Good luck.

Also, it says that three of their stands are sponsored - they only have two stands...

What better way of earning money than getting sponsorship for things that don't exist!

We've had additional income this season from selling Connor McCarthy and Louis Almond, from the televised FA Cup tie, and from additional sponsorship. Unfortunately the club's commercial mouthpiece is completely deluded, hence that bullshit article in the local propaganda rag.

Liam Watson has confirmed in an interview that we've put in a cash bid for a player at a League 1 club, so there may be some substance in the Ryan Lloyd rumour.

"I would walk to Wrexham to sign" or words to that effect were spoken by Brodie according to a bloke in the (MASSIVE) half time queue for the bog at Southport.

He couldn't exactly run to Wrexham could he the immobile fat fucker.

Every single transfer window for the last three or four years the Brodie rumour resurfaces. Im doubtful there is any truth in it tbh.

As for the Lloyd rumour I don't think there is any truth in that either. Not from a Wrexham perspective anyway. Shame as he looks a good player.

There's a medium-strength rumour that we're after Stefan Payne, on loan from Barnsley. Would be a brilliant signing, but I reckon we're much more likely to bring in one of these trial lads with the wacky names

He tore us a new one both times we played them last season, maybe the jump to the championship was a bit much for him.

Josh Ginnelly on loan from Burnley apparently. Don't know anything about him other than he was at Altrincham last season and just finished a loan spell at Walsall.
