Torquay rumoured to be signing Harrad and David Pipe.

Thoughts FGR/Eastleigh fans on Pipe?
probably one of the most uninspiring double signings in national league history, two past it journeymen....

You've not had that until you've signed Richard Pacquette and Jefferson Louis aka J'Lo.

Wrexham now joined the race to sign Ryan Lloyd apparently.

Pipey is a good player and a top lad, great leader on and off the pitch. Not the quickest but should still do a good solid job for you, either at right back or centre mid.

We're being linked with Sam Jones, Gateshead midfielder. Don't know much about him to be honest. Any views on here?

Also that ever reliable non league rumour site has us in for Kabamba at Hampton and Richmond, and Browne at Grimsby?

Rhys Browne's father died a few days ago, so I doubt that his head will be in the right place at the minute to decide on his immediate future.

Very good player capable of the FL in my opinion. Good box to box midfielder with a great engine scored 19 last season for us in Conference North. Found the net a number of times for Gateshead too. The one thing that lets him down though is his attitude. He does a have a tendency to be lazy and lethargic sometimes. Gateshead fans should now expect him to not give a fuck now his mind is elsewhere on a move away.

Pipe has been used as a bit part player at Eastleigh, filling in at either RB or in midfield, but isnt really upto it for a side aiming at promotion, but will do a decent job at Torquay should he go there.

Quality player however as he is on a two year deal and so young I can imagine that we will want 50k+ for him

Potentially 2 new players by the weekend, but more importantly, the Cowleys appear close to signing new contracts and maybe as soon as next week.

The club is debt free for the first time in 9 years too. Getting the Cowleys contracts extended would be the best bit of business we could hope for. They will still probably leave if the 'right club' came in for them but would take serious compensation. Also another possible investor coming on board via Clive Nates, the SA investor.

A good time to be an IMP for a change, quite a strange feeling.

I think that other investor is 'just' a Board Director i.e. £75k? Or have I read that wrong?

That must leave the only debt to Uncle Bob paying the Co-op £70k for the mortgage last year (so probably around £60k now)?

Nates recent interview mentioned possible extra investments. I doubt he would have said that if it only meant another 75k board investor. Could be that though, I really don't know.

Local rag is reporting that we have had an initial bid for him turned down. Doesn't say what the bid was though!

AN opening bid for Sam Jones has been TURNED DOWN by Gateshead, the Grimsby Telegraph understands.

As reported in today's paper, the 25-year-old is believed to be the latest man on Marcus Bignot's radar during this January transfer window.

Jones – an attacking midfielder who has scored ten goals, in 20 starts, since his summer move to the International Stadium – is highly-rated in the National League.

He's a former Leeds United graduate that has also enjoyed spells at Heanor and Alfreton.

Harrad and Pipe are pretty underwhelming...

And Blissett is all but confirmed by the two clubs. £15,000 with potential for another £15,000 after appearances/promotion.

Pipe has gone on loan to Newport Country for the remainder of the season.
Always amazes me when players are not getting into teams at this level, but manage to get a move to a club at the level above, where they may also not get a game...

Why who's asking?

Some Mansfield fans reckon they're offering us 90k plus Ashley Hemmings, whoever the fuck that is, for Els. Almost certainly complete and utter bollocks.

The poster of that does say "there is no truth in this as you already knew..." in the initial post.
