I hope not we play Nuneaton soon and they have both Reece Styche and Exodus. Will be hilarious to watch.

We have "another forward target lined up from a Football League side, with that move dependent on the parent club's assessment of the player during a training match taking place early this week".

Not sure why an FL side will need to see their player in a training match to decide whether they want to keep him - unless it's a club that's changed their manager recently?

Probably just spiel, which translates to, 'give us more time to find a higher placed Club for him to go to'.

Yeah, I suppose. There's been a couple of times that Cox has told the media that he's got someone signed, only for them to sign elsewhere at the last second.

Anyone recongize the name Stephane Mauve? Named as a sub tonight for us.
Seems to be a midfielder brought from some random French Regional league side Olympique Chatellaraudais :dk:

Last time we brought a player from some random side - Benny Igiehon - safe to say he wasnt up to our level. Has since played for Market Drayton, Liversedge and is now at Scarborough Athletic

Richard Brodie was named in our squad at Whitby Town in the North Riding Senior Cup last night - and was then nowhere to be seen during the game. Possibly got a move sorted out?

Although it seems that even those who played were nowhere to be seen.

Danny Whitehead apparently coming back to us on loan from Wigan. Paul Lewis rumoured to be in talks with Cambridge. Would be a shame if we lost him but fair play if he get a FL move.

So he's moved from some random French Regional League side to some random English Regional League side.

He is clearly failing at life, the poor sod.

Some would say Market Drayton, Liversedge & Scarborough are a fairly similar level to your current performance.

We were supposedly looking to send him closer to home (London area) after the death of his father so I can't see how Macc is any closer!

Btw, have seen him play about 45 minutes all season. Aldershot fans will give you a better judgement of him.

1hr 40mins on one of Mr Branson's lovely red pendolino steam engines from Macc, will be like he's just round the corner from home.

And I would agree with them. What gives the impression that I think we are better that we actually are?

However the said player was signed 3 years ago when we finished 11th in the Conference Premier

Do you think he can make the step up? What type of midfielder is he?

I see he scored a hat-trick and then left out of your squad last night.

You'd be buying potential IMO. Defo something there, a bit injury prone though. Still young though so could be a clever purchase.
Think he was injured last night so left out.

He's quite a physical player, good in the air. He's been held back by injuries since he broke into our team but he's still young and if he can play regularly for a decent amount of time then he can be a very good player, hence his good form over the last few games. His scoring record for us is pretty good as well, just watch out for the injuries

We sending Jordan Lee on loan to Torquay. Which I'm pretty surprised about, as with all respect I think he's certainly at League level and I'd have liked to see him in League One judging him by other players we've sent to that level.

Neat and tidy right back. Competitive games will do him good. Started for us in the Cup last week and was far from the worst player!

Joe Partington, there's a blast from the past! Decent young midfielder here back in the day.
