Someone wanting to move closer to Stoke?

Ridiculous.

I'd love Pearson to be coming to us. I highly doubt it though. Or Rhead or Hannah. Jennings id also welcome back with open arms but can't see that happening either.

All of the 'rumours' on our forum have been complete bunkum. There was one real piece of news but the person who posted it got abuse from some parties and has said he isn't going to post any more.

Rhead currently lives in Stoke and travels.

I can see MONEYBAGS Barrow paying whatever required to get Rhead. Him and Cox love each other.

We get a lot of our players via the same couple of agencies, and as well as Akil Wright signing up permanently, we'll be one of the teams in for Dion Charles (promoted with Halifax).

Really?
I didn't think he was National level unless he had two poor games in the play offs!

An insult to Barrow.

Only sensible way to do it. Either that or give players a tonne more in travel expenses.
Any club would do the same if they were two hours from the nearest major city - there won't be many others in the country in a similar position to us.

Haven't seen him since he was at Fylde, but he was highly thought of and got a move to League One. We've got a few ties with Fleetwood too, and he'd fill the gap from our departed wingers.

Absolute nonsense about Connor Jennings. Our best player in the season run in and integral to plans going forward.

Unfortunately Wrexhams player of the season isn't good enough for us so we can't sign him this year. Might have to pick a new club to punch player of the season form. Aldershot or Dagenham maybe.

Jennings although under contract, supposedly told he can leave if he can find another club.
Cooke also unhappy/unwanted by Tranmere. AFC Fylde have targeted him.

That's utter shite, Jennings is the first name in Mellons side, according to Mellon himself. He won't be leaving anytime soon. Cook is also wanted by Mellon but had a fallout after Dover at home so he benched him proving nobodies bigger than the manager.

Cook and Jennings will be Tranmere players come August.

Muldoon is crap, what are we thinking trying to retain him...

Rhead will stay, can't see him entertaining a backwards step, loves it here.

Not so sure. Mellon didn't give him much of a chance when he came back from injury. It was only after he'd been loaned out to Macc where he got valuable match time, that another injury crisis saw him back in the fold. Despite being our best player at Wembley, he was subbed off to try a forward pairing never used in the league games. I don't want to see him go and doubt it would be a return to Wrecsam if he did leave.
He has been our best player in the last three months. He won't be going anywhere.

Ryan Higgins and Richard Brodie are supposedly interesting Chester??
I’d heard we were interested in re-signing Higgins a few weeks ago. Don’t know what to think of it though, he came here in the winter transfer window and looked promising for the remainder of that season before turning beyond gash in the next full season. Seemingly done pretty well at Southport since though.

Brodie is news to me, hope not, nobody here likes the bloke. He even got sent off whilst warming up as a sub once when trying to pick a fight with some in the infamous H Block.

Chester struggling to compete with the big boys in the conference financially, Brodie in their ball park financially. Don't rule it out, if he scores a few, all will be forgotten. He's a great lad off the pitch.

Higgins though has already rejected a contract offer once, might be open to a move to Chester, but heard tonight Stockport have outbid Chester.

McCarthy's on thin ice after the way this past season ended, if we sign Brodie and/or Higgins he'll lose even more respect, he'd be foolish. Hope he isn't!

Have you heard Anthony Barry has turned down an offer from john McCarthy in favour of joining Bangor? Another lad supposedly also gone there from Accrington.

Quite like not having any money if it means we keep dodging these bullets.

Agreed. It'd make far more sense for you to take Louis Almond and Adam Dawson.

Keates wants Pearson, that's basically fact. Jennings will always be linked with a return and I could see it but only if Tranmere want to move him out. We can't afford Matt Rhead on the ridiculous wages Lincoln pay him.

Jennings was our best player during the run in

I know, like I said only way he'll ever be back here is if Mellon wants rid. But seeing as he's got another year on his contract it looks 99% like he'll stay. STRONG rumours that Manny Smith will be returning. We're also after 2 players from Macc, which will come as a shock to their fans.

Manny smith rumoured to be on the move this week. Want to move closer to Birmingham home. Wrexham bound? Or another north west club?

Not sure about paying a fee for Manny Smith, but him and Pearson together would be more than acceptable wouldn't it?

He was arguably the least impressive of Gateshead's centre backs at The Racecourse recently, but then he was always better playing in a back four with us. And I don't mean as a right back cheers Gary Mills.
