They aren't a North West club either.
But then neither are we.

Which other club are after him then? Salford?

Fylde, of course. A bit further away from Birmingham than Wrexham, but still shit loads closer than Gateshead.

A Dumbarton fan has come on our forum saying that their keeper, Alan Martin, has 3/4 full-time offers, including one from Barrow.
I'd welcome that - he's a cult hero from his loan spells as a kid, and still a good age too. Not sure what level of football is on display in the Scottish Championship, but he picked up all five Player of the Year awards for them.

Seeing as we don't have an owner or proper manager or a proper CEO, a few players have taekn to twitter to announce they're leaving us.

Sammy Moore - Probably sign for Dover.
Paul McCallum - Will end up in League Two with Colchester or Stevenage I've heard.
Alex Cisak - League One/Two standard keeper.
Freddy Moncour - Rumoured to have been snapped up by Maidstone.

Twitter full of Grimsby keeper Mckeown joining Wrexham rumours.

In other words, one random Grimsby fan probably saying it for a laugh. FULL though. Can't get on Twitter due to the FULLNESS of these McKeown rumours.

Paul McCallum has apparently signed for Eastleigh. Not sure he's the type of player they need................

Wouldn't mind us signing Ollie Norburn just to stop him scoring against us again.

James Alabi set to sign for Crewe from Chester this week. One we've had our eyes on for a good 3 years or so now and I reckon he'll be a great fit in Artell's system.

For the Orient fans interested, I'm unsure where that leaves us with Jordan Bowery now. The fans love Bowery and Bowery is in favour of a move here, but Artell did say he needed a forward that can score more goals to take the burden off Chris Dagnall. Alabi may potentially be his replacement because I'm unsure we'll sign two big men to play up top whilst Dagnall's here...

Chester fans reckon that they have supposedly had enquiries from a whole host of clubs for Alabi.
Dagenham, Barnet, Aldershot & Barrow. No mention of the Alex.

Absolutely no way he'll be in the Vanarama next season and I doubt Barnet would be a good move for him given he's a similar player to Akinde. I heard they offered Chester crap money for him too.

Our head of recruitment has scouted him an awful lot since his days at Stoke and is often scouting at Chester games. Dave Artell has also been scouting at Chester in recent weeks himself and is known to also be a fan of Alabi. Whilst we're not the only ones interested in him, I've heard today that he's set to sign for us at some point this week after meeting with Artell and Baker.

He'll get an awful lot of football here, particularly if we don't sign Bowery, and his compensation fee would be similar to or less than the £25K we paid for Mathias Pogba from Wrexham in 2012.

Bowery appears to have been released from his contract with us as he had a relegation release clause in it, so he is now a free agent.

Hearing that Chester have had larger ££ offers than the amount offered by Crewe from Conference teams.

Highly likely but Chester can't accept the offer from the highest bidder in this situation due to Alabi being out of contract. It's up to Alabi where he decides to go and Chester can't reject where he decides to sign. The only powers Chester have to get more money from sides like us is to take us to tribunal and make their own case. Even then, given Chester's current status of being somewhere in between part and full time, the wage they paid Alabi and the amount of time they've had him, I'm pretty sure it won't cost anywhere near the price Fleetwood paid for Antoni Sarcevic from them a while back and with us raking in £2 million+ in the last year or so, we'll be able to afford the outlay.

We've got a decent budget this season because we've finally axed some mediocre high earners so unless silly money is offered to Alabi (over £2,000 a week) I'm sure we can pay him a decent wage. If Alabi signed elsewhere then we'll probably sign Bowery anyway so as long as we get one of the two I'll be happy.

Kevin Roberts any good Halifax fans? It's rumoured he could be on his way to Wrexham.

Sammy's signed for Leatherhead as player/manager. I guess that the academy he and Jack Midson run must be making good money as I can't imagine that Leatherhead would pay much.

Isn't Jimmy Bullard Leatherhead manager?
