Funnily enough the Rhead rumours have cooled a bit at this end and the Hannah re-signing ones have gathered a bit of pace. It’s not unthinkable that we’ll sign one, as we’re likely to have a bit more money to spend this summer. We’ve got three strikers and McCarthy has said he wants one more who is ‘experienced’.

Silly season at the moment really where anyone and everyone is linked somewhere.

He scores some belting goals but never seems 100% fit and can disappear in games when playing regularly. Perfect for a team with a budget big enough to carry a larger squad and use him wisely.

I hope they watched his performance against us I thought Stockton looked awful.

He wasn't very effective in the final. Against Aldershot he looked really good though I thought. If he stays at Rovers he'll score a few next season I reckon.

I agree with this. He's great on his day or even in spells during games, but he's not particularly consistent week in week out. I'm not 100% sure he's promotion quality though, even if he was used in spells.
This is the first season in ages where our players are being taken, and I'm not really bothered at all - if we hadn't had arguably the best player in the league for the first half of last season (Danny Rowe - Ipswich signed him in Jan), then we would have not come much above bottom 8 in my opinion.

Buying clubs will take more than one game into account when making a purchase. Rotherham wouldn't have signed up Ihiekwe based on his Final performance alone, which was below par. Connor Jennings and Buxton excepted, most Rovers players didn't impress on the day, but I would argue that was more down to how well your team set up and played. Didn't think Stockton was our worst, he was the only player to test your keeper after h/t.

Agreed. If Stockton doesn't accept the contract offer and moves on, we will get some money for him, given his age, as a player who we developed. Whether Norburn is a player who would improve us is debatable, wouldn't be gutted if this came to nothing.
