While I reckon Jordan Williams could comfortably play in League 1, it also wouldn't be a major blow to see him leave. Should command a fee close to £100,000, and he spent half of last season casually strolling about.

From what I've heard, the talks with Lincoln have definitely happened, and you're the most likely to land him (presumably unless Peterborough or Ipswich hear about a non-league player up for sale and throw down a five-year contract...).
I couldn't really say what style of play suits him, but he's looked more adept as a centre forward than an out and out winger - he can run past players when he's on his day, good at beating defenders for pace, and probably the best striker of the ball we've had in years. His goal reel from last season would be better than Ben Tollitt's!!!

I'm not sure Monkey. I don't have a clue what sort of wages those clubs are paying. What I will say though is that those two clubs are not going to take a chance on a lad from non league and make him a top earner at their club are they? Surely the point of signing non league players is that you don't have to pay much in the way of wages. The problem they have is that clearly we will pay more to our best player than most non league sides. The problem we have is Danny wants and deserves a crack at the football league

Charlee was a decent player here and a few have been wanting him back for a while. Took him a few games to get up to speed with 'proper' football after doing the U21 stuff but once he settled down, he improved no end.

Someone who'll break up play rather than get forward to score/create, although I'm not sure whether that was down to how he was asked to play here or not. On the small side as well, so he'll not be winning anything in the air.

ZFA is set to be at the Jamie Vardy Academy from tomorrow. I am expecting him to leave however. Disappointed if it's to Fylde though, he should be on his way into the league.

Cracking left back, fairly sure he missed both of the games we played against you due to international football, should easily be a league 2 lb though.

Another rumour is that local semi-pro side AFC Macclesfield have all signed 'dual contracts' with us and will effectively become our new reserve side.

I never understand what's happening with Torquay. Seemingly minutes away from liquidation at any time. No money, then they go and sign someone decent. They did the same with Brett Williams.

We don't understand either. Still do not trust the owners one iota and everything is still eerily quiet.

As for those two names - not so convinced on Bowman as I feel he is a similar mould to Williams (can be lazy), while Gowling I don't know much about, but if we're in a battle with Alfreton then I don't hold much hope.
