Apparently he refused to play on Suttons pitch as he once got injured playing on one and Cooper and him never made up, just a rumor though. I think we'd be looking to offload him. Very good player, a true professional. If you have him and wedge you won't go far wrong!

Two solid signings in Wedge and Sincs.

Wedge was the fittest player in our squad and a real "rat" in the midfield - tackled, tracked players, dropped into cover defence when backs pushed forward, broke up play for 90mins. Very much a holding DM but didn't create or score.

Sincs came to us as a play-maker with a decent record in assists and a few goals. And in his 1st season he played a mix of RM and CM and got like 10 assists and a handful of goals. 2nd season was the same mix of RM and CM but the assists and goals dried up. By 3rd season he turned into a holding DM with v few assists/goals.

Luckily for you guys he was at his best when played at CM in a flat 4 midfield alongside Wedge as holding DM who allowed him to attack more and be creative. Or in the two-man midfield in a 4-2-3-1.

Keates stripped our squad right back in early May. Bold of Askey to wait till mid June/July to start a major rebuild.

Only Mitch Hancox. Contracts on the table for Kingsley James, Craig Ross, David Fitzpatrick, Danny Whitaker and George Pilkington.

Can only really see Whitaker and Pilkington re-signing and that's only because they're late 30's now. James and Fitz will probably be on the lookout for new clubs and will re-sign as last resort. Craig Ross was never really fancied by Askey last year with Flinders taking his place, and then keeping it, despite so many mistakes- so can't see him being too keen to sign. He's a southerner too so may look for a move? But yeah, no signings or anything yet. The OS is deadly quiet as per usual, with the main bit of news being about a waitress who works at the club passing her driving test (tinpot). Loads of complaints from fans on Facebook, Twitter and messageboards but complete silence from the club.

Surprised we offered him a new deal here, so I'm half hoping he leaves. He's a bottom half Conference player.

"I have had conversations with some other clubs," he added. "I had a meeting up at AFC Fylde and the talks went well. It's a great new ground up there, the manager and the chairman seem like really good people. It's something which needs careful consideration.

"Footballers are like anyone else. If you are offered more money to do the same thing, it's difficult to turn down. It's our job at the end of the day, our career.

"At this stage in my career I do need to be playing games every week, but as I said from the start, my preference would be to stay at Lincoln and play in the Football League under Danny and Nicky."

Unfortunately for Jack, he'll probably end up with less football here next season than he did this, so I imagine he'll move on, which will be the correct outcome IMO.
