What, on crowds of 400 or whatever it is that you get?
There is plenty of scope for crowds to increase. Crowds have hung well after a very poor season last year Crowds could easily double with a winning team and good football on offer. Which there has not been for three years. A promotion and some changes to admission prices could easily bring in crowds of 1100 just like they were when we were promoted to the conference back in 2011.

Steven Drench who was apparently nailed to sign for us has joined Bradford PA...hmm

I am not so sure now. Especially if Gowling does join Torquay,

The last time Alfreton Went For It, they gave John Akinde a massive wage, finished 11th in the Conference and then got embarrassingly relegated the following season. There's nothing for the Conference North to worry about there.

Three National League sides and a League Two outfit have inquired regarding the availability of former Chester goalkeeper Jon Worsnop

http://www.leaderlive.co.uk/news/17...to-leave-chester-fc-as-he-seeks-new-club.aspx

I wonder who they are?

Apparently he wants to come back to us as back-up to Alex Lynch. Has had some personal problems which affected his form with us which are now resolved. I doubt that he'll return to us for a third time, but he does have his admirers here. Good shot stopper, but completely unable to catch a cross. Distribution poor too.

More Bobby Davro handshakes down the Racecourse this week because two more have agreed to enter the building

Rumoured to be Manny Smith and Jake Cassidy.

Cassidy was amazing in his first spell with us with wallace supplying the bullets for him however he was dismal during his second spell. Decent signing if you can get him firing

I can't believe Cassidy is only 24.

Nah he's not, he'll clearly be about 28-30 like all our other players.

Manny returning would be amazing news.

Cassidy has definitely been around for at least 15 years, I remember him playing for Llandudno.

You can see that there is a good player in there, he just didn't get much quality service with us last season. Still hopeful he'll stay for next season along with his brother in law Simon Walton.

You know I mentioned earlier that there were rumours we were going to sign Anthony Dudley. Apparently we've been blown out the water by Salford. #PrayForMacc

Gowling won't be going to Torquay, he lives in Caistor and doesn't want to move so it will be to a team that he can commute easily to from Caistor.

Alfreton GAZUMPED us with their MEGABUCKS.

Basically they are the new FGR, only in a less pleasant environment.

Bloody tinpotters with their ambition and money...

Why would you live in Caistor? It's such a boring little town.
He loves it there apparently, and he's only recently patched things up with his missus after she dumped him because of his jealousy (long story) so he's not too keen on moving far away.

Seems we've failed to land Sam Hughes from Chester. Hardly surprising seen as he's been watched by Championship Clubs all season!

Were set to announce another signing today. As I said the other day. There is a strong feeling and people who seem to be in the know, who are normally correct is that it will be Zaine Francis angol from Kiddi. Which I know there all being very disappointed another play to be joining us. Just wait and see if there correct

Can't blame him for stepping up, since we've been relegated we expected him to leave and his agent has made it known he wants out plenty of times.

I didn't even know you were in for him until today.

We've agreed a fee with someone, rumoured to be Leicester. Bottom half Prem or Championship club most likely if not.

We've just sold Trevor Carson to Motherwell. That's now 3 of our best players sold, and no fucker signed still.

Any bookies offering odds on relegation yet? We should be a cracking price.

Presuming we are still a club come the end of the season, of course

Jordan Williams is in negotiations with 2 clubs - one in L1 and one in L2 (believed to be Lincoln) over the next 2 days, with other clubs expected to come in in the mean time.
Meanwhile according to Pitcheroo Lincoln are one of 2 L2 clubs who also want Alex Ray Harvey from us too...

Anyone can start a rumour - there's a hundred-odd pages of it here. Absolutely no way is Harvey signing for Lincoln.

Amond will be next out the door, we'll struggle to put out a 7-a-side team this season

it would surprise me too, but who knows :dk: - we released a player last season (Paddy Lacey) who then went straight into the league... then got drugged up and banned
