Not much, just a guess.

Well he does have a year left on his contract to tie in with rumours your end. I know he finds the commute from near Stoke a ballache. Guess it all depends if DC thinks he has something to offer now we are back in the FL. We have signed Matt Green and Ollie Palmer but I think Rhead would still be one of the first choice strikers after his great job last season.

We're signing an ex-Man United defender on loan from a Premiership club.

It's not John O'Shea.

£astleigh can keep their hands off Evans. If they rated him so highly they shouldn't have let him go last summer.
Would be a massive step backwards for him too. Glad we rejected it, I wasn't convinced by him at the start of the season but was one of our key players by the end of the season.

Yep 99% certain. Don't know much about him to be honest.
Whenever he came up against us for Chesterfield in L2, he was one who dropped deep and was, at the time, deceptively good at holding the ball up when played into feet and linking the play. Never really looked a goal scorer in L2, but had a good record at Macclesfield down here.

Thinking about it, Macclesfield have done well out of Jennings, Dennis and Boden in recent seasons.

All strikers score bagfuls when at Macc, there's something in the water there.

Askey gets a bit more out of typically average players, so they look better than they are under him. However, I think Boden is a good player and will be a good signing for you. I think he'll get you 15+ goals. Holroyd is a good player too but he won't score many, he just isn't a natural finisher. Wrexham have assembled a decent squad and I fully expect you to be challenging for a play-off spot.

Rumours circulating that Orients first signing could be David Mooney. He's the wrong side of 30 now, but was inspiring for us for 1 season in league 1 before dropping off.

Released by Southend and has played at a good league 1 standard for many years, plus has good affinity with the fans.

I think the signing may polarise Orient fans, but I would be over the Moon(ey). Should be able to knock in at least 15 if fit.

Nope, thank god.

It's funny how fans slagged him off playing for us, then when a rumour appears he might be signing for someone else the views on him somehow suddenly become more favourable!? Matt would be a handful for defenders at league two or below so I can't see why anyone wouldn't want him to sign. His game is not just all about winning things in the air and out muscling defenders, he has a great touch for a big man.

We've got players from France, Holland, Belgium, New Zealand, and the USA on trial with us for the first day of pre-season training.
As mentioned above, the England C keeper Ross Fitzsimmons is looking likely, and the Burnley defender is a done deal. Still waiting on our Irish midfielder McGlade to arrive/get back from holidays.

I am sure the picturesque nature of the NW can be sold as a beautiful utopian vision to these international globetrotting players, the lovely Lake District and beauty around the lakes. Can then imagine the delights on their faces when they eventually end up in Barrow and finally Holker Street. :eyes::ffs:

There won't be many clubs where you can turn your attention to some mountain peaks when the action on the pitch is dire...
Seriously though, it's a bit easier to convince foreign players to move to Manchester, which is where training is.

One more signing on the way on top of Daly, Vaughan.

Great dealings today already, hopefully a third to top it off.

Scarr probably. Would love it if it was someone like Bradley or Sonupe though.

Brentford are after our young keeper Luke Pilling. We've improved our contract offer to him, hopefully that sways him. Would be shit to lose him already, has massive potential.

Sounds like the Wrexham version of when Del and Rodney took 'Gary' home.
