Macc fans love Mukendi.

They'd have him back there in a heartbeat.

I think that's a joke, right?
One of his handful of games for Barrow was at Macc, and I remember their fans audibly laughing when his name was announced. One of the worst footballers we've ever had.

DarkSithLord - I know you lot were on about Bradley Wood. He had another court date on Monday after, as rumoured, being caught driving while disqualified (for drinking driving the morning after a night out) taking his kid(s) to school.

His contract sounds as though it was terminated by us on May 13th, but we still hold his registration.

FA still telling the Player and Club to stay schtum.

Thanks for the update mate. Saw something on twitter about that earlier. Our manager has come out and has denied any interest in Bradley Wood or Dan Bradley. Think we were interested in both but Woody`s problems with the law are too great and unfortunate we cannot match Dan Bradley`s wage demands

Trialists we had on show last night (of note - it was predominantly youngsters as it was a local game).

- James Gray. Ex Darlo, Wrexham and Southport. Scored one with a nice finish. Seemed to try too hard at times though. Drink driving incident concerns me a tad if I'm honest.

He was great in his first couple of months: worked his socks off, bagged a few goals, and was pretty central to how we played when it was well established we were the Barcelona of the Conference for a short time under Mills.. but then he got this drink driving charge - well known now he was caught on one of these police TV programmes, can't remember which one.. and from then on he barely played for us again and was moved on.

If you have the player we had for a couple of months then I think it's a good signing, but that was two years ago now and no idea if he's sorted out himself out off the pitch, also no idea how he got on at Southport.

Following James Wallace tapping up Luis Suarez on his honeymoon, Suarez has been seen in Liverpool.

Tranmere announcing a signing in the next couple days that is due to surprise a few people...

2+2= 5

.... we'll sign someone uninspiring like Alabi.

No idea if true, but rumoured to be looking at Ollie Hawkins as a potential player from Daggers. I know he has a fair bit of his contract left but we supposedly had two bids for players accepted recently so he could feasibly be one of them? I imagine location to us might also be a problem along with him still being under contract.

Strong rumours down this way that he is signing for Pompey.

Yeah, you could see last night why he's dropped down a few levels. Wouldn't imagine he'll get anything here.

Still desperately hoping we can pull off a loan deal for Kieffer Moore again, but I believe Ipswich want him to a league club.

- Vinny Mukendi. Ex Macc, Barrow and by the looks of his wiki, about 100 other clubs. Absolute journeyman. I imagine Nicho is looking for a Blissett replacement - don't think this is it though.

- Jamie Lowry. Formerly of Chesterfield and a brief stint at Argyle. Seems to have vanished off the face of the earth in terms of playing football, but actually looked alright last night. Hard to judge against the level we were playing though.

I liked Gray, hard worker, not without ability, looked like he could get goals at this level. Obviously it all went wrong for him here first breaking his arm then the drink driving. Didn't look the same player when he came back. Didn't sound like he did anything much at Southport either.

If his head is right I do think he's a decent player.

Gray was apparently going through a lot of personal issues when he got caught drink driving, from the looks of things he has tried to push forwards this summer.

he has predominantly played around the north west area, moving down south may be a blessing in disguise helping his escape his demons.

personally i rated him up to the drink driving/broken arm. he had a really good start to the season and his effort couldn't be faulted, constantly chasing the ball down and he scored a fair few too

good luck to him

Basically it's all Grimsby's fault.

Disappointed with him to be honest, seemed to be a good player against us for Hartlepool ,but never seem to do anything all season.
Nice bloke works hard and scored pen to put us through to final.
Saving grace McNamara signed him and probably ruined his confidence, like everyone else he signed.but then again Mills didn't play him either and he got more out of rest of squad.
Keith Lowe is quality though.
Sounds like another Chris Holroyd. Good to hear about Lowe though. We've always been quite strong at the back but lack any real firepower- I hope this season will be different.

Someone on our forum has said that we have former Southport defender Josh Thompson on trial. HIGHLY doubt it though as he picked up a very serious injury in January.

Was absolutely appalling at our place last season - genuinely looked like he'd never kicked a ball before.

Imagine his kid Googling his/her Dads name in a few years time and finding out they were a mistake.
Surprised the club announced it tbh. Personal reasons would have sufficed.

He did pretty well for us last season, which was a bit stop start for him due to injuries. He likes to play out from the back and get forward, comfortable on the ball. Think he'll eventually settle in the centre of defence rather than right back.

We're due to announce the loan signing of Jack Storer from Birmingham. Anybody know what he's like?

Been pretty much confirmed that we're in advanced talks with James Alabi and the club are confident that a deal can be reached. Is he any good Chester fans?

Strong, good on the ground but not as such in the air, when you might expect him to be for his size. Check post 5137 a page back for a bit more, when a Wimbledon fan asked.

Rumours of a fee just shy of £20k agreed plus a sell on % for us, which I'm happy enough with.
